OE TUNING STILL IN BUSINESS??
I have been trying for months to get a hold of Jeremy as he is yet to refund me money. Has anyone heard of his whereabouts or if OE is still in business?

Well looks like I have nothing to lose then.
Jeremy was to refund me for my tune and a fried ECU.
My car was off the road for 5 weeks thanks to Jeremy and OE, anyone running a Tune needs to be very careful. All this bull**** about dealers not being able to tell if the ECU has been flashed is absolute crap.
I am out of pocket over $8000 and had to hire a car for 5 weeks, Jeremy offered to pay only $2500 which was obviously a lie as I have not received a cent.

There have been several similar threads started over the past few months, can't be a good situation at OE

As for tuning, I'll have to agree with you; especially with the flash tuners. If you want a reliable tune you will have to go with one of the bigger name companies. I.e. Renntech, Weistec, Kleemann

Wow, this is not good. When I dealt with Jeremy for my handheld and tune back in August 2013, I had no issues. Looks like I might need to switch to Weistec for peace of mind.

To be fair, I don't think anyone has ever said that the dealership can't detect a tune. Everytime you flash the ECU it logs it in so if the dealership really wanted to look at the ECU, they can see everything that's been done.

As I've said before, straight from AMG, they can detect it if they want to.

The tune on my car seems to be working fine. Customer service pre-sale was awesome, post-sale was average (like 99% of businesses really)
Not sure how you can go broke selling 1000 tunes @ $1000 ea..
Do those other vendors offer tunes via the access port?

Seems like there will always be an issue with any tuner, ECU related or not. For the most part, 99% of the time, their tune is successful.
When I had my BMW with an ESS SC and tune, it was flawless and always had great support. But there's always that handful who had issues. Hard to pinpoint the real issue

Yes the ECU Cost $7850 AUD, we pay more here in Australia.
The car originally keep stalling and would not drive. I used the handheld and reverted back to the OEM tune. The car was then towed to the dealer. The codes were for 02 Sensor failure. The dealer replaced the 02's and could not clear the fault as the ECU would not allow them to clear any.
So the dealer tried to re-write the ECU, this is when the ECU failed and was then bench read, the dealer then noticed a write to the ECU (This indicates a tune).
I was then told I would have to pay for a new ECU, towing and any labor involved. What happened with Jeremy after that is a very long story which I won't go into.

I've referred a few C63 owners to tuners but not to OE for this reason. How is it that an employee of Powerchip leaves and overnight is offering hundreds of tunes for all manner of vehicles? I didn't know in his former capacity he was able to salt away six or seven figures to acquire those files? Or tune hundreds of cars on his own time at his own facility?
