E55 to C63
I bought an E55 a few months ago and was not very happy with it. I liked the car but it was simply too big for me. I decided to search for a C63 AMG.
1. The seats on the E55 seemed very dated. There was nothing special about them (not talking about options)...but seemed very plain - non-sporty looking. I absolutely LOVE these seats. If I am not mistaken, they were the black series seats in the previous gen, right? Anyway, they are a LOT more comfortable than the GT3RS seats I currently have in my EVT775 car...a LOT MORE. They offer plenty of support. They are a little hard getting in and out but I am so used to it from my other car that it is actually a breeze.
2. I had the maple wood interior on my E55 and I felt like I was driving my grandma's car so I wrapped it in CF. It looked 100 times better...so when I was on the search for a C63, that was on my top priority - having the CF interior. It is nice having the real thing instead of a wrap.
3. When I bought my E55, my first choice was silver but after looking and looking, I gave up on that search and settled for a pewter. I got used to it and it was still nice but it was not my first choice. I regret that. So, that was not something I would compromise when I found my C63 and I am glad I waited for the right one. She looks great w/the black out accents.
4. I have driven her for a few days but we got slammed with snow and ice so she is at home getting to know the other gals... . That has given me a chance to get her all cleaned up, detailed, paint buffed, changed locks, fix front lip, change bulbs to LED, etc., etc.
There has been some exchanges in german that I am not quite understanding...

you may miss the low end grunt, back seat space (ha like your ever back there) and instant torque, but losing the weight, gaining the top end, handling and 7spd gear box (not as good as a dct but much more lively compared to the lazy 5spd) Overall congrats man, It's always good to get what you want and not have to settle for less.
