My brother was the FIRST in Canada to place a deposit (I know this to be true) and this is how they treat a true enthusiast! Hes probably jumping ship but not before he outs his story.

Really? He's jumping ship because he the dealer didn't email people about this promotion and some other customer asked about it before him and got the spot? I can see why that would suck to miss out on and why he'd be bummed, but I certainly wouldn't throw that big of a fit whining about it (no offense to your brother). Especially not when it wasn't a prior expectation when he first ordered the car. I'd just take the car and be happy I am fortunate enough to own one But that's just me.

Its not that. Hes concerned the dealer switched his build date and the dealer really didnt do a good job of communicating with him after the fact. Truth is he could care less about the trip because “what if” 15 people signed up for the trip or he wasnt eligible. He just doesnt like getting the run around.

Forget about it and enjoy the anticipation leading up to the delivery!

From what I gathered in the thread, the first 15 includes European Delivery. Your brother couldn't make it to the dealer when car was being released because he was dealing with school, so how could he possibly do the European Delivery?

He will be fine customers get lied to all the time when about why things go wrong. Usually it's a mutual beneficial lie. Keeps you from getting worked up and the other party from getting heat.

From my personal experience BMW will not help u .
I had the 1st E92 M3 on pre order like that and when the car came after so many months they tried sticking me with a 15k above sticker price . I Ran to MB that was down the block and found my car that I have now .
Never looked back .

I wouldn't sweat it too much,
Just enjoy the new car. To be honest, if your dealer got 1 of the 15 in this promotion. Chances are the guy/girl is a high profile client. Perhaps someone with a long history of purchases and big $$ spender with the dealership.
Either way, its not worth the time to pursuit IMHO..

I remember back in the 90's, BMW proudly announced that all their new models contents' could be 'recycled', thus earning them a gold star from the green brigade. From my experience with BMWs', I think they got the english term mixed up. What they actually meant to say was that from the mid 90's, all BMWs' are now BIODEGRADABLE.
Hell; they sure seem to start dissolving on the ten year mark!

I disagree with you, he is merely stating exactly what everyone "not involved" in the situation is thinking.
As Kriston said above, I am sure you walked in, made the deal to buy the car, all while they had a high end prospect in the wings they wanted to treat good, maybe a 10 year customer or a professional athlete, or (most likely) an employee of the dealer - aka your salesmen (lol). You took a backseat as you mean nothing more to them at this point than a commission.

Seems like most posts are just based an a spoiled/entitled mentality.
Vote with your dollar. If you didn't like how you were treated, go across the street and spend (your) hard earned dollars at the next dealer. You/your brother will eventually be able to get an M4 and show it off at school.
LOL.
Wow.
