My brother was the FIRST in Canada to place a deposit (I know this to be true) and this is how they treat a true enthusiast! Hes probably jumping ship but not before he outs his story.
But that's just me.
Forget about it and enjoy the anticipation leading up to the delivery!

I had the 1st E92 M3 on pre order like that and when the car came after so many months they tried sticking me with a 15k above sticker price . I Ran to MB that was down the block and found my car that I have now .
Never looked back .

Just enjoy the new car. To be honest, if your dealer got 1 of the 15 in this promotion. Chances are the guy/girl is a high profile client. Perhaps someone with a long history of purchases and big $$ spender with the dealership.
Either way, its not worth the time to pursuit IMHO..
Hell; they sure seem to start dissolving on the ten year mark!
As Kriston said above, I am sure you walked in, made the deal to buy the car, all while they had a high end prospect in the wings they wanted to treat good, maybe a 10 year customer or a professional athlete, or (most likely) an employee of the dealer - aka your salesmen (lol). You took a backseat as you mean nothing more to them at this point than a commission.
Seems like most posts are just based an a spoiled/entitled mentality.
Vote with your dollar. If you didn't like how you were treated, go across the street and spend (your) hard earned dollars at the next dealer. You/your brother will eventually be able to get an M4 and show it off at school.
LOL.
Wow.
