Autobahn High Speed Run, Noise From Front Tyres? Help Please
Hi Guys,
I am from the UK and this is my first post as I have just come back from Austria with the car which I opened the car up down the autobahn but got a strange noise which sounds like its from the front tyres (I wanted to see the top speed but the noise made me stop! . The best way to describe the noise is like the tyres are rubbing but I am on stock 19"s and stock suspension!
Here is a link to the video which you can hear the noise at 29 secs in
http://s.photobucket.com/user/philip...tihdv.mp4.html
Note the car only has 7000 miles on, I changed the rear tyres just for the trip to Z rated (the original rears still have 4.5mm tread) but left the fronts as they have loads of tread.
Any ideas what the noise is? surely the front tyres even though they are standard Yokos rated to 185mph I shouldn't have this noise?

Not sure you could hear tire noise at that speed
'Creeking ' sounds like a door seal or something
Doubt its a bearing (wheel or driveshaft) car is too new and sound is random not really cyclic

Haha, I know its a C class but there is no way at 29secs into the vid that high pitch squeal is normal (like I said it sounded like the front tyres where making contact with the edge of the fender!)
I have also watched other videos on youtube which none get this high pitch squeal when doing these speeds

I get a similar noise when going those speeds too. If you keep on it a bit more the noise becomes more constant and seems to be coming from the air passing through the driver's side windshield wiper. I never felt any vibration to indicate the tire was rubbing.

Thanks for the feedback guys
So now daily driving the car the tyre noise seems a lot louder than normal, Ive noticed on smooth tarmac road I can hear some some of rumbling which shouldn't/wasn't there on smooth roads before. The noise seems to come on more when I turn the steering wheel slightly to the right.
Any ideas? trying to hold off taking the car to the dealer until it needs a service in August but don't know how long that will last.
