Please Help, New C63 2014 E/Parking brake noise question
Hello guys. I'm new to this Forum as its my first time to comment. I own a brand new C63 2014 built in 2013 with the Performance Package Plus. Now it reached 2380 KM in 2 months. I live in a very small Island called Bahrain neighbouring Saudi and Dubai. Anyways since I bought the car the rattles drove me extremely insane. The dealer response was its normal Due to the stiff suspension as it's 15% stiffer then a normal c63 coz of the pp+ pack which causes frequency and let's the plastics to hit each other. Plus it's a common problem with them as I read online. The rattles are 80% better now as I changed the stuff I heard the noise from. Anyways my big issue Is here, I have this habit of throwing the gear in Neutral and then pressing the Emergency/Parking breaks and then keeping the gear in (P) Park, then I leave the car and I hear this sound which is very low like a squeak which sounds like the suspension. Others said It could be the E/parking brake and IT WAS!! if I just leave the car on (P) and leave there will be no noise. But if with E/parking brake I can listen to it even if I give my car a nudge. Some people told me it's 100% normal as the car shift weights when you leave making the E-Brake gets hold of the discs. What do you guys think? did it every happen/happens to you? Do you think it's normal? I am and will be very thankful for any of your thoughts.

It isn't like you're driving down the road with your E brake on.
I wouldn't worry much. I never use the E brake anyway. Just throw it in park.

I don't always use the parking brake when I am on level ground I just put it in park and ease off the brake pedal so as not to srain the parking paul. If I park on a slope of any kind I put the gear in park and then apply the parking brake before easing off the brake pedal. The parking brake is designed and used to keep excess pressure off the parking paul in the transmission, that locks the transmission in place when parked to keep the car from moving.

I always use the parking brake (when parking of course). I'm pretty sure I know the noise you are talking about and it is normal.
I have it in other cars not just the 63 so I wouldn't worry.
Congratulations on the new ride!

Mine is tight as a drum. Where you live is sand and fine dust. It makes its way into everything. And there will be squeaks.
We have an RV and wen to La near Texas border a few years ago. You could see dust on ops of buildings but firs wind took it off. The wind ble for several days and the fine grit, so fine you could hardly see it got into everything. The jacks didn't want to retract, the awnings made a terrible noise retracting as well as pretty much everything else. After cleaning and lubing, back home everything was fine.

Guys thank you very much. Your help is appreciated. And yes my personal service men agreed that the dust could be one of the major issues whereas the weight shift is for sure.
