MBH headers and Mid Section installed!!
So I finally had my headers and mid sections installed and completed today and I have to say the sound is the best.
It's nice and loud I love it.
BUT I realized that there isn't as much torque as before, why is that? Does anyone else notice this?
Also when I drive with my windows up and music off and hit bumps or go over a rough/bumpy road I hear some thumping noises like sometimes moving and hitting into something else, it's not metal on metal noises.
So for those of you who have MBH headers or have knowledge of my torque/thumping noise problems please help me out.
For those of you who aren't sure about MBH headers sounds, trust me you'll love them if you want to be loud all the time.

I think u need a tune
Your car will go like crap with a standard tune with headers and mid pipes

The question about the tune is a good one to start. Also the headers have two inch primaries which might steal a little low end torque.
Did you reinstall the cross brace that goes under the mid pipe before the resonator?

My exhaust was welded in a bad angle when I removed my cats and resonators where it would hit the cross brace on big bumps. I haven't gotten the time to fix it but i'm thinking that could be OP's problem.

Wish you had done a before and after dyno pulls. I put long tube headers on my last two performance cars and I also thought I lost low end torque. But after looking at the dyno pulls, in both cases I had more torque from idle to redline. What I think happens is since you are now making more power, it makes the lower rpm's seem weak by comparison.

^ This. There is no loss of torque. I actually think it's because the new loudness (volume) makes one stomp on the throttle a little more gingerly initially, hence the feeling of less torque. It's not clear if you have a tune but if not, get one. It's a must with headers IMO.

OP surely has a tune otherwise he would complain of the CEL on his dash .
As for the low end torque are your midpipe straight or X ?

I believe the cross brace was installed at the end before they dropped the car down.

Is that the check engine light you're referring to? or do the headers cause another CEL problem?

^^^^ that's why ur car is running crap and feels weak
Pull the pin get a oe tune and some oxy sensors and your car will be a weapon
I raced a guy on the weekend with no tune just exhaust and it was not pretty for him
Just me man hurry up and get a tune

Yes get a tune. OE or EC is fine. I went with EC and it is working fine for me and I have MBH lth with catted mids and a x-pipe and stock cat back.
Check to see if the cross brace is there. If it is the exhaust is hitting it casing some noise/vibration. Just take it off or contact Mike about a drop brace he makes that will fit and may not rub or hit the exhaust on bumps.

So all I have to do is get a tune with the new sensors and the CEL will go away and everything will be fine?

As mentioned... Get a tune, 99% chance there is nothing wrong with your o2 sensors. Just needs the tune.
Also, I wouldn't dog the car much without the tune. Things could get... funky.

What do you mean by dog the car too much? Should I not drive it without a tune? or you mean like rev it up and push the car?
