Not another straight pipe thread
Before everyone jumps the gun, i did do some research.
C63 arrives tommorow and wanted to clarify a few things. I want to straight pipe, and this thread helped ALOT.
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...info-noob.html
Now my question is, if i cut out the secondary cats and replace them with stainless steel pipes, will the car sound like this?
This may or may not be a dumb question, but is this technically considered a "straight pipe"?
And also, can this mod be easily put back to stock when ready to sell?
This is all i want to do, i want to keep it as simple as possible.

My C63 had long tube headers straight catless midpipes, OEM res and mufflers... And HOL-E-CRAP was it loud. So loud in-fact that I was forced to sell it.

jesus christ dude. you could wake up the dead.
you provided nothing in terms of my thread though. lol
I'm not interested in headers or any other jazz. want to keep things simple.

You're gonna be similar levels of loud removing everything but primary cats. That was my point, haha.

I noticed you pm'ed me about my thread and just to answer your question, I didn't end up doing anything yet. Just the worries of voiding the warranty stopped me. I even contemplated doing an electric cutout which to be honest sounds like a better idea to me, but I refrained from going that route for the same reasons. Guess I'll live with the stock exhaust note for now. Lol.

Exhaust work shouldn't void power-train warranty, just exhaust warranty. I have test pipes on my bimmer and BMW had no issue doing warranty work on my transmission on Monday. It's all how you know your SA or how you talk to them.

but my car doesn't sound far from that video and all i have is mike's H power-pipe to replace the 2nd'ary cats, and a straight pipe delete to replace the resonator.
however, i can't tell if it's louder than the one in that video...

Maybe I will change my mind randomly. You should look into electric cut outs. Sounds like a good way to go and have the best of both worlds (stock sound and aftermarket roar).
Already having issues with your M3? Uh oh...

Resonator delete sounds wonderful.
I straight piped the resonators, but i warn you. After some time you may want to delete the secondary cats as well. The resonator makes a great improvement in the cars exhaust note. You will hear gurgles and pops on over-runs.
You can see a more detailed explanation with pictures here https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ot-me-bad.html

LOL, how so? I didn't do it but a fellow member here with a shop did. I think the pic makes it look horrible, I saw them as it was being put back on the car and they are actually pretty clean. They polished them and ground them down before reinstalling.
Function over form i suppose...

would you happen to have a vid of you driving?
car just came in today, stock sound isn't too bad.

Perhaps its the angle of the pic, just ensure the welds are seamless. If the pipe aren't stainless steel, any gaps on the welds lead to quicker oxidation / rusting. We don't want any exhaust leaks either.
