Violent Jerk to Side on Hard Acceleration
2012 C63 with PP but no LSD (yet), purchased as CPO with 12K miles on it, and oftentimes will jerk to one side briefly but violently on hard acceleration during driving, or from standstill. Every time this occurs, the ESP light blinks for a second or two.
Is this attributed to wheel spin, not having the LSD, or something more sinister?
TIA

You are feeling the effects of you single wheel burnout and your traction control reigning in your power. The jerking motion to the side is your back end kicking out. This is why you need a lsd before you get anymore horsepower upgrades.

Believe me, the car will jerk to the side with a LSD. It gives more traction, but when you floor it, both wheels will lose traction.
It's called low end torque. Your car has lots of it.
Torque steer, this one made me laugh. That is what happens when you have a high power FWD car. Applying the throttle will tug the steering wheel on one side. You can't have torque steer on a RWD car.
What you are experiencing is throttle oversteer. Any hard application of throttle will cause that. Even from a standstill. Car will just spin its wheels until the TC kicks in or you take off some throttle.
I highly suggest to not turn your traction control off and to consider a high performance driving course. Because it is pretty evident you don't have much experience with a high power RWD car. Jeremy Clarkson called this car an axe murderer with headlights... for a reason. Be careful.

correction: "throttle" not "torque" steer. This is what i get for posting after 30+ hours of post-call :P
it's funny b/c similar powered RWD vehicles i've driven did not jerk like this, but perhaps it was b/c they all were LSD equipped.

Out of curiosity, what high HP rwd car did you drive before that did not jerk like this?

P.S. It would help quite a lot if you got on the accelerator pedal more gently.
