Panoramic Roof - W204 Issues
Does anyone have any experience of the workings of the W204 panoramic roof?
Or does anyone have access to the service manual with some steps/instructions on maintenance?
When I got the car, the roof squeaked and creaked. It was a fast pitched noise, which didn't go away. I got the car serviced and asked for it to be resolved at the same time. "Sure" they said. I got the car back, and guess what? It was no better.
Car went back to the supplying dealer for some warranty work/investigation, and whilst it was in, I asked for the roof to be resolved again. "Sure" they said. I got the car back, and guess what? Yep, it was no better.
It seems that the following helps:-
-If I lube the seals with gummi-pflege and apply grease to the rails etc, it will normally be quiet for 1-2 weeks, then the issue comes back.
-If I press upwards on the glass panel while the noise is going on, the noise soon stops.
This leads me to believe it's an adjustment issue.... If the dealers can't fix it... Can I?
Can anyone help? Can anyone access the relevant section of the workshop manual? Can anyone suggest a specialist that has resolved the issue for them?

This won't be MUCH help, but . . .
I had similar problems - an always rattly sunshade accentuated by a rifle-shot 'pop' whenever the car twisted (starting up a ramp or driveway at an angle). The dealer fixed both just over a year ago and I've had no problems since. My recollection is that they tightened up the pano bolts. Unfortunately, I don't know what bolts or where they are located.
