W204 Coupe with Panoramic Roof Rattles
Well it came to me with only 2k km and tight as a nut. After several closed road targa events and the odd track day - it now has some annoying rattles and squeaks. No surprises as it can't be as solid as a steel roof, but.....
Anyone else had experience fixing these? I suspect main culprit is the dividing bridge between front and rear roof glass. Not sure who to go to

I have the same rattle, and also get a frightening-sounding SNAP from the rear of the pano when the chassis twists (starting up a ramp diagonally so that one wheel starts to rise before the rest). I've got an appointment at the dealer on Monday, will post if they find anything.

I had the loud pop going up driveways as well. Had it fixed by dealer under warranty, it's a known issue with the pano roofs. However, the creaking and rattles are coming back, so I'll have to bring it back before my warranty expires.

I'm glad to hear that it is fixable. Do you know what they did to it?

Yep definitely something you'll have to live with!
I got scared the first time. But now I'm getting used to it.
Will probably ask the dealer to fix it at my next service under warranty. But I don't expect any long term solution.

I saw the service schedule on MB's website that lube and tight the roof is required if you reach 30000km. I went to the dealer two weeks ago and did this service, rattle noise is sitll there, but do improved, less chance to hear it and not that louder compare with before.

Had it in for warranty repair twice to address noise from the pano roof. The second time in, they kept the car 2 days and removed then re-installed the pano roof. Problem was resolved for approximately 6 months. It is back and I've given up.

For the pop, service report says "R&R complete headliner assembly, tighten all screws on pano roof assembly, test drove, all noises went away."
I'll follow up if it's not fixed, but there were no rattles and no pops in the drive back from the dealership.

That is good to hear.
Mine has the loud popping noise and is due for a service shortly. I think I will ask the dealer to have a look. Based on your report, it sounds like they have to remove the roof liner. This makes me a bit nervous. They could possibly break clips etc on the roof liner. Hopefully being the agents they would do it right.

For the rattle, service report says "R&R sunshade partition assembly and applied felt tape. Test drove & noise went away."
