Whine after aggressive drive
Ok, so I've done a bit of research here and there's mostly dated info on this topic.
I'm sure most of you have encountered the somewhat loud whine after enjoying multiple up and downshifts in manual mode. Usually I can get about 15-20 mins of driving like that before the whine comes on.
Is there a remedy to avoid this sound? Also, technically speaking what is the sound?

Correct, car will protect itself before you do anything bad. 15-20 min of manual mode on the street isn't even that hard tbh.

Now, I'm completely addicted to the throttle blip downshift noises when I'm driving like an *******, so with that being said I'm gonna ask a very WTF type question:
What is the optimal MPH, gear and RPM to do a downshift to get the absolute loudest "bark" downshift w/o causing any damage? if possible.
i.e. 40-50 mph, hold at say 3rd gear @5k RPM and downshift to 2nd

Shift to 1st at 90mph and you'll get a loud noise

Just got back from trying that...you were totally right! My entire engine shot thru my hood all the way to the moon. It was *** awesome and very loud. Cars swerving everywhere. Now, I have to see if my warranty will cover this. #FingersCrossed

This sounds seems to be a normal M156 lovely noise. If you watch this video (Old W204 Medical Car from Yas Marina):
For me, I get that sound quite a bit...allegedly. Especially on downshifts when the oil is hot (240F-263F). It's all good though. It is just the M156 opening up it's throat and clearing out the pipes.
Enjoy!

A side question about the video posted above...
How is it possible that the parking/proximity sensors are on and active at those speeds? Mine turns itself off at, I think, around 10 or 15mph.
