Whine after aggressive drive
I'm sure most of you have encountered the somewhat loud whine after enjoying multiple up and downshifts in manual mode. Usually I can get about 15-20 mins of driving like that before the whine comes on.
Is there a remedy to avoid this sound? Also, technically speaking what is the sound?

Now, I'm completely addicted to the throttle blip downshift noises when I'm driving like an *******, so with that being said I'm gonna ask a very WTF type question:
What is the optimal MPH, gear and RPM to do a downshift to get the absolute loudest "bark" downshift w/o causing any damage? if possible.
i.e. 40-50 mph, hold at say 3rd gear @5k RPM and downshift to 2nd

This sounds seems to be a normal M156 lovely noise. If you watch this video (Old W204 Medical Car from Yas Marina):
For me, I get that sound quite a bit...allegedly. Especially on downshifts when the oil is hot (240F-263F).

It's all good though. It is just the M156 opening up it's throat and clearing out the pipes. Enjoy!
