Ok i gonna post pics. Pics of parts on the scale.
About sound deadening. The answer is simple. Its about 0. Under you interior carpet is nothing. There are only 2 small strokes. One is between the fuel pump hole and the fuel sender hole. The other one is under the bracket that holds the rear view camera control.
Pano roof i dont have. I had only sunroof and took out headliner and glass plate, airbags, sun visors and all controls. Safed 65 pounds
There are no serious extra brackets to cut out. Max 2.2 pounds. Just a bucket full of too long bolts in the trunk.
I also have a 4 point scale for the car. So i can see the weight on each corner. Plus total % front and % rear.
stock c63 weight distribution with NO driver. 55.7% front and 44.3% rear
With driver surprisingly 55% front 45% rear.
Just total weight is not the only thing to work for. I am working to make it 56% rear and 44% front as weight distribution.

We couldn't beat the factory ECU no matter how hard we tried. Plus if you are doing a tranny swap I don't think its going to work. We went Motec and changed all the sensors as well to get full control of the car.

Also didn't mean to step all over your thread. So glad to know there is another crazy man out there like me...
Take a look at our first track day. Listen to that sequential. Not of this world...and by the way we had to move the firewall back to get it in there.
Good luck brother!

I mean. I am a nut case. But freefall is in his own league.
I was still thinking of sparing the dash and aircon. Since over here without aircon you die. At least i do ;-).
I wanted to make the weight loss good by making the doors and roof of cf but saving the dash. Each door is 15kg reduction. So thats a nice 45kg.
Freefall. Did you happen to weigh the dash and its components??

Sorry guys. I have been on a long holiday. Will update this weekend. Going to the drag strip for the time with stock power. But just 2900 pounds of weight.
Also installed a 5.2 pound battery that really works great. And was only 300 usd.

With close to a thousand pounds of weight reduction, you're gonna absolutely fly down track. Can't wait to see this.
You could hit 10's with some luck, stock power. Is it a P31? What tire/rim setup will you use?
Super impressed with this
