transmission maintenance
Gents,
2001 CL500 with 115k miles.
Is there any proactive maintenance that can be done on the trans?
I sense a slight vibration when coasting during a downshift.
Cheers,
Tom

change the fluid and filter every 40-50,000 miles.

If they are original, the conductor plate and connector are considered mainteneance items on the 722.6, they tend to leak internally and cause weird issues.
I plan to do the kit FCP Euro sells on mine, which included those items and the required gaskets/seals and fluid. I am probably also going to do new solenoids and possibly the sonnax piston kit as recommended by a local CL65 guy. 77K on mine and it's ok but its not as firm as it should be on most shifts and on TCC engagement.
