Steering wheel is stiff when turning, power steering problem?

I rebuilt the ABC pump and everything is working in order, no leaks or anything from and hoses or the valve block, and the car can be raised or lower via hydraulic button. However, the steering wheel is stiff when I turn the wheel while the car is parked. When I drive the car and push the gas, it's easy to turn the wheel, but if the car is stationary it gets stiff again. Can anyone give their thoughts on this problem? I was thinking about flushing the oil, and filling it back up. Remember, this is the power steering, not the ABC. The ABC system is working perfectly fine with no errors on the dash, only turning the steering wheel is stiff.

Did you bleed the power steering ? Lock to lock turn the wheel 20-30 times with the engine running?

To the 2nd question yes, the wheel was lock to lock turned at least 20-30 times, yet there is still noise coming from the ABC pump.

To the 1st question, what is the proper method to bleeding the power steering fluid?

If stationary and you push the gas to raise the rpms a bit- does the steering turns easier or it is still hard to turn?

i believe that 20-30 turns should be done with the engine off.

Thanks for the responses guy, the car is up and running like it was when I first bought it. Even better than before with a full tune up with rebuilt ABC pump. The steering is smooth as butter and the hydraulics go up and down with ease and no lag time.

My solution, took out the ABC pump and rebuilt the back portion. The problem was a slipped o ring that got cut and the small circular magnet with blades was not flipped on the correct side. The front of the ABC pump manages ABC while the back is for power steering. The circular metal piece in the picture on the right has a kind of small metal marker for which side is supposed to be facing in, it is outlined by a yellow square. The metal marker faces in towards the pump I believe and the cover cups on top of it. It is harder to explain and picture than to do, but I'm explaining the best I can. Also, the metal rods that hold these 2 pieces must be fitted in the correct hole slot or else it will not be correct. There are two metal rods with one being longer and one being shorter. The holes that are slightly bigger is for the bigger hole and vice versa. Yellow arrow- Big metal rod; Red arrow- Small metal rod.

Hello, I have a c320 year 2001, and I have a heavy steering...
Due to hernias in my neck i do not feel good at every day driving.
But anyone else who has driven it complains about the heavy steering and the fact that the steering wheel does not return to centre allignment after manouvres...
It does not feature a sensitive or( parametric ) steering sensor.
Any suggestions are welcome thank you!
