Help needed with soft close doors not working.
First off, do all CL's have soft close doors?
I have my door panel off and I'm looking around and I don't see the unit that would be leaking. I saw a photo of it in another thread, but I don't see anything like it under my door panel.
Can't someone help me out?

All W215 CL's have the soft close system.
You need to peel the noise liner off the door to see behind it where the vacuum system is located.
Peel the back edge back by the locking pin/rear speaker. Be careful not to rip the material.

Thanks. I've removed the speaker and peeled back the noise liner. Behind the door skin I believe I see the vacuum assembly, but the white plug at the bottom where the yellow air line connects feels intact. Maybe I've got a leak somewhere else.

It's a hard location to really see. I had to pull all the hardware off the door (Keyless Go Antenna, etc) and remove the window glass to access the lock/vacuum assist in order to replace it.
You should be able to see if the cap as popped or has a broken ring around it. You certainly will be able to hear if it has an air leak as long as the PSE pump circuit is active.
Pull the fuse for the PSE to reset the circuits.

Thank for all the help. I'll reset the fuse and give it a shot tomorrow after work.

If the pump is shot it will not work as well. Its a PITA chasing an air leak. I have to tackle the same on my car but focusing on Mods right now. lol

There can also be a problem with the micro switch in the door which fails to "see" the door latch closing if the door is closed normally. Try closing the door very gently so that the soft close has to function. If it doesn't work then have a look at the vacuum pump in the trunk behind the left hand panel.

All is working, incl soft close right door and trunck, but not the soft close on drivers door,no hissing or klick when I close the door to the point where the soft close should work with the windows down, not a sound, what am I missing.

Did you reset the PSE by pulling the fuse to re-enable all de-activated PSE circuits ?

It works one time after pulling the fuse, and thats all,but it did work so it looks like time out on the pump and most posible leak in the door unit,or someone got a better idea.

That would be my guess. The only other cause would be that particular circuit of the PSE is dieing.
Reset and listen to how long the PSE runs by sticking your head in the trunk (Driver Side). If it runs for a couple mins its a leak. If it runs for a very short period of time, its the circuit.
