Unhappy Alternator Problems?

Hey Guys!

I'm going to put this as straight forward as i can.
About 2 weeks ago while i was driving my 03 CL55, i noticed that the interior lights were flickering.
It isn't just the lights it is also every button that has a red light on it.
At first i thought it was a battery issue so i purchased a new battery but the same thing was happening.
Now it is at a point where my windows wont even go down nor the sunroof.
The scariest thing is when i drove at night, the headlights would just simply turn off.
So for the past 2 weeks it's been parked and i don't want to continue driving it until i figure out whats wrong with it.
Could it be that i may need a new alternator? If so, can it be rebuilt?

I would check all ground connections.. Most likely a ground is loose and causing issues..

check the voltage at the battery with the engine off, then on. voltage with engine off should be in the 12 volt range, engine on voltage should be in the 13-14 volt range.

If it is the alternator, the brushes are pretty easy to change out VS buying a new alt.

We checked the voltage and it would bounce from 12-15 dramatically.

sounds like the alternator is the culprit. probably the voltage regulator in it.
