Thanks for the feedback guys. I will try and avoid re-wiring all the speakers at the moment. I really want to see what this ting can do with the factory stereo.

The PAC is working. I can see the red light and manipulate each speaker. Must be the amp is not turned on. Funny because when I put the original factory stereo back in everything works great...amp turns on and everything.

See this wiring diagram for the amp plug. There is a blue/white amp turn-on wire. I would guess this goes to the front into the radio. It needs to be connected to the blue wire from the new stereo harness to turn on the original amp.
If it comes down to it, you could pull the plug from the amp in the trunk and make sure all the power wires are getting power when the stereo is on.

Just a thought. Try running the Blue/White "Amp Power" wire to the same place you tapped into the cigarette lighter and see if that powers up your amp. Worth a try.
