Blinker / Turn Signal relay: 2002 CLK320 Coupe
Hello all,
Just joined the forums because I am having a very difficult time finding a diagram that shows where the relays are and what each one does.
My issue: Left turn signal remains blinking when control arm is either in neutral or left (down) position. When control arm is pushed up (turning right), right turn signal blinks. The blinking should no occur in the neutral position. I can't shut the blinker off.
All of my research points to a bad relay. So I've been scouring the net for that relay diagram. I find plenty for other years and models, but no such luck for mine.
If you could point me in the right direction, I can find the bad relay and order a replacement.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you, Magma, That certainly narrows it down and gets me closer to the exact relay I am looking for.
What still is not clear is which relay on that fuse relay box in the lower left corner of the picture is the one.
Here is a picture of mine - I notice that there are multiple relays near the top of the picture. Is it known which is the N10 relay? I see a couple of yellow relays and a black one. also some smaller pluggable objects above the fuses.
Thank you.

I'm glad you brought that thread up. I read through that a couple of times before I posted here. The truth is, the diagram you posted in #4 in that thread looks nothing like my relay box. So I assumed that is must be for a different model/year. Where is that relay box located?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I've also been looking for a description of what these relays do in fusbox F1 without any answers. My relay housing also looks like Fefknol's does, not like the one Serendipity linked to.
I've searched for hours with no luck. Anyone with the WIS have this info???

As you guys probably know, WIS is has huge library of information. I am new to using it, but honestly I can't find anything about any relay for the the flashers or blinkers. To me it seems as though the turn signal switch supplies a signal to the EIS control module, which then turns that signal into a CAN signal that is received by the SAM which then sends the signal to the corresponding lights. It actually states that there is NO additional relay added. See attached pictures for more information. Sorry I couldn't have been more of a help, guys. This is the first I've heard of this problem. Hopefully someone with more knowledge chimes in.
