Vorsteiner Replica Carbon Trunk Lid

I check ebay and online once a week or so for new w209 products and this AF-1 type spoiler just popped up in carbon fiber. Is this the same as my stock standard carbon fiber trunk lid or could this be as tall as the vorsteiner????

I was thinking of buying that spoiler as well. I'm just worried about the carbon turning yellow later on.

How did you apply the spoiler and take the old one off? It looks very nice.

Thanks, I took my old trunk lip off using dental floss. This new wing came with bolts, but I took them out and applied 3M ultra strength generously across the underside of it. After test fitting and getting a feel for the way it should lay on the trunk, I peeled and placed.

Very nice spoiler.I was actually going to get one before I decided to sell my ride. Yea.. can't justify spending 1000 bucks on a cf spoiler... just my 2 cents.

Do you have a link to the spoiler? The eBay link in the first post doesn't work.

Do you think you could post some more pictures, especially from the side showing the whole car. Want to see how it looks on a non-bs CLK.

Fitment seems to be pretty poor. It's about half an inch off at least, judging from the pics. Look at the gap on the right side of the spoiler and the end of the trunk...bout 0.5-1 inch??? It's properly installed, as the led brake light is perfectly centered with the spoiler.

The reflections off it are also a little wavy so it's probably pretty flimsy and not perfectly straight.

I'd buy it at about 150-200$ shipped.

That's my 2 picture analysis

poor fitment, center brake light has a gap and the right side also has gap, I have 2 vorstiner spoilers on my clks and they fit perfect. that gap would drive me nuts. can you move it more to the right?
