ATF 236.15
I plan to do another ATF pan flush soon and I called the dealership for ATF. They said they only have 236.15 and should work in my 722.6.
Then I read in this forum that the correct ATF for my car is 236.14 and that 236.15 would not work. I know that 236.10 and 236.14 are compatible, not sure about this 236.15.

you can let you dealership know they are drunk. 236.15 oil is for the newer 8 and 9 speed transmissions. how are these guys even given dealerships?? stick with 236.14 oil

These brands are officially approved by MB. There might be other oils that say "MB 236.14" but the ones that aren't on this list or don't say "MB Approved 236.14" have not been tested by MB.

actually its not for the 8 and 9 speed transmissions its for the 722.9 with specific configurations, still certainly not for the 722.6 or the 722.9 on the CLK. Here is the document:

What did the dealer want for a quart? Shell ATF 134 is the easiest one to find usually, although not always easy. I ended up just ordering it online from California. Still way cheaper than dealer fluid.

The price actually dropped here in Toronto dealerships (in Toronto, they are mostly corporate stores).
They now sell it for $13CAN per litre, used to be over $20. Not sure if this is 236.14 or 236.14. The guy did say that there was a price drop.

I had an oil change and changed the air filter yesterday and the car felt wonderful. The old oil was 10k miles old and the air filter was 17K miles.
Although the current ATF is 40K miles old, I am not sure if I should change it since the car drives well now.

An oil change will not make the car feel any different, and air filters at only 17k miles should not either. 17k is way under the recommended interval unless you live in a desert. But yes, change the tranny fluid.
