Hey there my friend! Pistons look sweet! Where did you get them coated? Waiting on my MBHs and plan on having them coated by SwainTech. Be interested in hearing who you used...

Wow looking great! Glad to hear you were able to keep here out of the wall. Best of luck, cant wait to see her running and putting up some new numbers. Who's doing the new headers for you??

This thread is lacking pics lately so here are a few to spice things up lol.
Current headers (only 1.6" primaries and each pair merges into a single 1.6" pipe; downpipes only 2.35") LOTS to be gained here
Flanges made. Counter sunk to locate pipe easier
What the block will look like with Darton sleeves
Custom high compression pistons arrived yesterday. First pic was before they were sent out showing before/after coating\
And finally in my hand

Amazing, Ahmad! You'll reach your 9s goal for sure!

Thanks! Honestly I think I could've ran 9s without all this stuff so this should put me there reliably and easier hopefully. Pretty much everything on the car is built to hold over 1000 hp. The SC won't make that much but I will find it's limits

Hey Do you what what it would cost (if you are willing) to have another set of headers made that is if they would even work on my car. I am swaping engines to a 55 and would love to install headers at the same time. Any other performance tips?
thanks and best of luck can't wait to see the beast rolling again.

haha yea definitely have to be crazy to do this
To be honest, this is very expensive and probably costs more than the 55 motor you're buying. I think I'm the only one crazy enough to do it lol. If you're doing an NA 55 motor it really isn't worth spending the extra money on custom headers vs Kleemann headers. Save you a ton of money and I made somewhere between 650 and 700whp using the Kleemann headers. What is your end goal in performance for the car?
The company I was getting rods from informed me last week that there's at least another 6 week wait

Hey I am looking for something in the 400HP range at the crank. I am installing a newer 55 so that should be good for 360 and then hoping that a tune, E55 K intake (high flow filters) and headers will help me hit 400.
What do you think?
No way 6 weeks, there is no way I could wait that long.... Best of Luck

Do you by chance still have your old Kleemann headers and if so, are you interested in selling?
Thanks,
Jordan

Yes I do have my Kleemann headers. The new headers are almost done and after I make sure the new headers work I will be selling the Kleemann headers. Several people have contacted me asking about them. Not sure what they are worth now, I got them over 8 years ago.

[you think you're crazy while we know you're crazy but we still got your back ]
And How, For BB it is fun. I am all in for fun as well.
This will provide some insight of what happens @ Kleeman but the pay-off @ the end is phenomenal.
I enjoyed watching this one.

Haven't updated this since I decided to just throw together an 06 E55 block with ARP head studs, ARP rod bolts, forged postons, and ported NA heads (new gaskets and bearings too). Still waiting on rods for the big build but I wanted to drive the car before winter. So here are some pics...
Parts:
Loaded:
Inside:
Headers:
Bigger throttle body (comparing 82mm upgrade vs 90mm upgrade) with ported sc inlet
This is how you make power:
And in the car almost ready to fire up:

No problem Hopefully have some more pics this weekend
Thanks! I don't see low 9s but I'm hoping I can hit mid 9s to make it the fastest all Mercedes car. The car still retains A/C, power steering, etc etc. I guess time will tell.
