2009 Mercedes Benz E-350 w/ AMG Sport Package
Purchasing CLK 63 AMG

Thinking about trading in my 2009 E350 for a 2008 CLK 63 AMG (Convertible). I understand that this car is a rare find and I've wanted an AMG for awhile. Please list the pros and cons of this vehicle. Details in regards to performance, comfort, etc. would be greatly appreciated

Beware of permagrin, the uncontrollable smile when you drive it.
Watch out the power is awesome.
Awesome car.
A Little more than an AMG sport package, it is a real AMG .
Careful , get used to it, enjoy.

Beware of possibly losing your license! I'm surprised I haven't lost mine yet! It's an awesome car! Look at swinging a Black Series if you can...

Con: finding one with options I wanted and wouldn't buy without (navigation, ventilated seats, bi-xenon, not black/black)

I don't understand the having a black interior of a convertible, prefer not to sit in a sauna during summer! It's my dd once all the snow melts and it can get pretty warm and somewhat humid in Minneapolis Naviagtion, because the dash/screen area without just looks cheap (not a 100k car) I rarely type an address in, but use the map more then once in finding where random roads go without pulling my phone out to see. Having better brighter lights is just obvious, why go cheap on those? And then somewhat resale value if I ever sold it having more options. I found a model that fit everything I wanted and passed many didn't! Why settle?

What colour did you get
As for the 100k I think you meant the E63.
Seats are great for the long haul.

Critter- Thx for the feedback. What do you mean by drop the pan plug/ cooler plug? Do you mean change them?

Also at the moment I have a very strange noise when I start the engine, but only happens when it is warm... never happens on cold starts. Any ideas?

Thx

Apologize, remove the plugs drain the oil replace the plugs with fresh copper washers.
With the warmstart noise it sounds like the oil has lost its viscosity, are you certain the guy used synthetic oil?

The service was done at MB and I am looking at the bill but doesn't say the brand. The code on the bill is: A0 MA000 989 8301 /AA.

I will check tomorrow.

Thx
