All well and good if you want to send bits of your car around the world, not an option for me.

Hi mate, speak to Allen at International Autohaus, it's only the TCu and ECU and they can be removed and reinstalled in a matter of hours, you would be without the car for about 1o days because of the distance. It's so worth it.

So when exactly is Ralf traveling around again?
Eurocharged decides to tell me their V5 tune has everything.. including the blip. Then I get a call the day after telling me things I already knew and making me think twice...; "our tune consists of everything but the blip and we get the blip from a guy in Germany. We can do the tune for you, but you have to wait for the blip. Unless you want to fly him out here but thats going to be expensive."
So not only do they not have their own tune, but the blip tune is specific to Ralf. I don't see why Eurocharged at first offered it to me as if they had it on hand and that, quote on quote, "Your car can get tuned in about 30 minutes."
FWIW, they've also screwed a buddy of mine with this same reasoning, without actually telling him until he noticed on his drive home he had no blip.
Anywho, not trying to start any type of company degradation, I just want to know when Ralf will PERSONALLY be traveling again and tuning so I don't have to go through shady companies.

Eurocharged is not shady, you just don't understand how the process works. Eurocharged is essentially a dealer for Ralfs software, when he comes tot own he does all the blips at their facility and then eurocharged can load V5 on the car with the blip tune.
Stop bad mouthing a company as if they did something wrong, they haven't

I think this is a god strategy by Ralf and a smart move by renntech. Noody knows Ralf and everyone knows renntech so it will make getting his produc out there much easier. Ralf has blipped my ML63 and CLK BS and it works, I can vouch for that

If you don't find that 'wrong', go ride them some more.
Perhaps I should include what Ralf has told me personally.... but I'm not here to start that.

Why is the valve body upgrade necessary when there's no added power (or minimal power gain from a tune) to the drivetrain?
So are you saying those did that the blip without valve body upgraded are damaging their transmission?

I would like to be clear that I never said anyone would damage anything. I said we RENNtech needthe valve body and the ECU to make the blip work. We modify the valve body and theecu to make the throttle blip work as we designed it to. I am not sure about other companies that do it with out the modified valve body.

Wow I'm really glad I found this thread, but I have a few questions I hope you don't mind me asking everyone so to clarify EuroCharged V5, RennTech mod, and Weistec ECU with Ralf's throttle blip are the three options for getting a rev match downshift, correct? My primary question is will this work on all cars with the 7G-Tronic and M156, so if I were to get a 2007 CLS63 AMG could I somehow get the blip feature like the later 09 models, or does Ralf/RennTech/EuroCharged only offer this for the CLK63 black? I know this was discussed a few years ago on the W211 and W219 forums in collaboration with the guys from the AMG private lounge, but it was ultimately concluded that it would require recert for new software and was not possible. Can anyone speak to this? Thank you so much.

Thank GOD I am so glad to hear this, it'll allow me to get the 07 CLS63 I have in mind while making sure I get the blip function from SpeedShift+ in the 09, no reason I shouldn't in the first place in my opinion. Thanks for all your help everybody, you have some awesome CLK63 Blacks! I may link this thread in other forums for reference, glad to know thing have changed in the 2-3 years that this first became a failed (and now successful) proposition.

Question about blip upgrade on M156 with 7G-Tronic
Hello all. I have read extensively through the threads regarding adding rev-matching (throttle blip during downshift) to the M156 models with the 7G-Tronic. The models that do this from the factory are out of my price range.
This is a must have for me. I had a CTS-V with the Supercharged 6.2 and the automatic and the transmission's rough non-matched downshifts were a constant source of frustration in an otherwise excellent car.
Now that I see this is possible with the 7G/M156 combo, I am considering the purchase of a 2007 E63 or CLS63. Since this is an upgrade that I would perform as soon as I bought the vehicle and before I drove it, I would like to know the approximate cost of the upgrade.
I searched through all of the threads that mention upgrading by shipping the ECU and TCU to german32er, but I found no mention of price.
I am encouraged that every that has done this seems very happy with the results. Can anyone that did this give me an idea of cost including shipping?
