2018 E-Class Coupe rendering
not hard to imagine, as all reports indicate it will literally slot between the current S Class and the new C Class ...

I think they blunted the styling. Looks a bit boring to me. I don't love the droopy back end and the front seem less aggressive than the current coupe.

Agreed. A bit bland for a coupe design. However, they seem to be striving for uniformity of styling for all models going forward. So it is what it is.

This thread has nothing to do with anything W2xx. The C205 has only recently reached these shores, so I really don't understand your point of reference ... mate.
Keep in mind the rendering was nothing more than that ... a rendering ... probably nothing more than a CGI obtained by overlaying a C205 on top of a C217 and splitting the difference as far as proportions go. AND, as the source was an Italian auto rag in the first place ... probably nothing more than a conversation starter at best.

I'm not a fan of the new E sedan design, but I also said that about the current gen when it was first announced. Now I think it's simply stunning. With that said, I also don't like this rendering for the coupe as it stands. I like the front of the current facelift. Pair it up with the new rear and you might have something. I also like the current sides of the vehicle with the "humps" or whatever they are called over the rear wheels.

Exactly SnakeDoctor. There needs to be some body styling that gives the new coupe a more distinctive and somewhat agressive look. The 2018 concept design shown is just too bland. Take away the MB star and it could pass for a typical, boring Japanese design. Functional but boring.

then when i sarcastically replied that MB will already come up with the W/A206 (assuming its what the next gen C class will be called) and youre still whining about the nav screen? then you tell me that this thread has nothing to do with a W/C205 c class?
its getting too old...dont tell me youre still upset about the louisiana purchase?...mate.
