Window goes down, wont go up
On the way home from work last night, the rear drivers side window went down and would not go up. Switch on the console wouldnt roll it up. Switch on the door would not roll it up. Holding down the lock button on the remote rolled it up. ??? I'm scared to roll it down again in fear it wont go back up. Thoughts?
(Yes I did a search first, but nobody had the symptom of both switches not working).

so
the express feature works but the communications from the two switches don't work.Try to reestablish comm between the ccm and the pse.
Disconnect the battery neg lead, key out, step on the brakes for 30 seconds
Rehook the lead and sync all the windows roof etc.,start the car turn the wheels all the way left to all the way right a few times to center the steering wheel angle sensor. Then see if the window works.

i had the same problem where I could only roll up the window with the remote....After I used the remote though the windows seemed to sync and I was able to use the console switches to roll them up fully without issue. Worst case scenario you use the remote to roll it up again.

I own a 1999 W210 Mercedes.
same
I occasionally have the same issue with my car. I roll down the windows and they wont go back up. I usually just turn off the car and restart it and they are fine .
I have checked my switches and the whole center console for any loose wires but found nothing. I would go with Ohlord's advice, try it out and if not then try and clean our your switches. Sometimes they will not have good contact due to all the crud that accumulates....good luck.

Update
You guys were right (as always). The window has been working fine since I rolled it up with the remote. I didnt have to do anything (yet). So, I guess the window just got out of synch. I've printed this post and tacked it up on my garage wall though in case it stops working for good.....
