My Speedybenz camber ends have squeaked since I got them, and I noticed significant abnormal (feathering) wear on one of my rear wheels. Turns out the ball sleeve on one side is shot and the arm had a lot of play.

I called Melvin and initially said that I probably just want to buy his rubber ends. He was more than accomodating and gave me a ridiculuously good price and even assured me that if his ends are incompatible with Speedybenz bars that he will sell me the remainder of the kit for a good price. Well, it turns out they were incompatible. I sent Melvin another payment on Monday and got the balance of the parts yesterday... that's fast!

The kit looks beautiful... I got the gold rods, which I personally think look better than the black ones (but who looks at suspension components anyway?). I will be installing them tomorrow with some pictures.

Just want to say GREAT, GREAT service from P1 Performance and Melvin, matched by an equally great looking product. Thanks!

Wow. Thanks Ron!! You are the first member with the gold rods.

Also, what Ron is failing to mention, this was more of a team effort that called for him to do most of the work. I simply supplied the parts and for that I do thank you. Bummer about the ends not working with the SpeedyBenz kit though...

Done.

Since I've obviously done this before, removing and installing the camber ends is a fairly easy task, even easier if you have air tools. You just need a T55 torx bit to remove one of the bolts. Each side took less than 30 minutes.

Once the old Speedybenz unit was off, I just lined up the holes of the old and new unit (put them on top of each other) so that they are relatively the same distance (I don't plan on having another alignment done until after I completely wear out my rear tire... it is advisable to do an alignment after any suspension work). I put in probably 60K on the Speedybenz unit, and they have been squeaking ever since I owned them. Furthermore, all four ends of the old arms were damaged (the wheels wobbled at least 1/8 side to side and the ball joints on the ends were scored, the sleeves were shattered and races were gone).

Once I installed the new ends, I did the wiggle test and noticed ZERO wiggle. Not only that, these arms made the rest of my rear suspension look like crap... haha!

Thanks again for the help, Melvin. All you guys with the Speedybenz units (or Lensolos) should consider getting these or end up changing tires more often (which is the reason why we got these things in the first place).

Yes it would. It will help to maximize your tires contact with the pavement as well.
