Best Upholstery Shop for torn E55 Seats?
Hello, i have a 2000 E55 with Ruby Red/Anthracite Seats. The driver and passenger seats both have significant tears in them and i was wondering if anyone in the SoCal area has had this problem and where they got the seats fixed? I went to a local upholstery shop and the guy said it would be at least 3000$ to get them fixed and not even with the same materials! I want to keep the stock condor leather, perforated design. Thanks!

Have you taken the time to price new covers---the spend a couple of weeks replacing the covers!!
Post your VIN and we can determine the appropriate part number or run to a dealer !!

Frankly - there are "auto upholstery repair" specialists that can fix the rips, fill the repair cracks, and respray the red inserts.... about $125-$150 a seat.. same services a dealer uses on newer models.
You're in SoCal - so by-and-large those guys are mobile..
The "rest" gets way too pricey - I haven't checked - but I don't think MB stocks replacement.
Now - so you know - somewhere in my "mother lode" I have the correct W210 E55 new carpet mats with - AMG symbol correct red accent trim edge - which also is not available from MB - you get "normal" W210 carpet mats only.
Keep the beat !

If you can wait till Monday when I have access to EPC I will get you the part numbers and pricing.
PS: If you go the patch route get references as a patch job is a patch and over time you are back at the same hill, plus the resale value takes a crapper, but it's all choices!!

Screw the patch--the part number for the seat and backrest cover as follows
R or L seat=210 910 54 46 3C41----95 euros
R or L backrest=210 910 37 47 3C41------120 euros
FYI your SA color code is not 527-----it is 527A
Search MB dealers who have discounted parts websites such as Skyland Auto in Ashville and watch out for noodle eating scammers!!

Wait a minute----this whole FP is about a torn leather seat cover---am I correct----if so the part numbers I gave you are for leather seat covers----how could this be confusing as the leather cover, repeat leather cover goes over a number of things including foam padding---------this is not a sheep pelt that you see in Tehran taxies.
PS: you remove the old leather covers and replace with the new covers---what's confusing about that!!

i have the same seats/color in my car right now. they were take-offs from a
wrecked E55. they show preliminary indications of bigger cracking of the
leather in months/years to come. the leather has small, leather separation
between some ventilation/dots so I'll need to be thinking how to replace the
leather soon.
the prices shown above seem odd to me if is is listed this way in MB price list.
in my mind, seat parts tend to be more like 4x that in real life. I hope you are
successful finding them for that price new from the dealer. if so, please post (!)
and I'll put in an order right away LOL. r-
p.s. i'm seeing prices more like $6-800 for each leather cover

...wait, you had vogtland lowering springs and you still cut them even more?
my experience with the V springs for the std E320 v6 was that they had quite
a high preload rating. i gave them up and had softer Eibachts instead. do you
find the cut V springs comfortable? are you're running with standard 18" rims ?

Please understand that Mercedes does not have replacement 2-tone Condor seat leather for your 16 yr old E55 anymore - just like they don't have E55 logo floor mats in any color... Blutoe can reference all he wants - if you want call call Mercedes Classic Center (949) 598-4850 and have them do a Mercedes world-wide search to put this to bed - heck, they "might" come up with something - if you don't balk at the price. You can also call World Upolstery (the major aftermarket source) at (800) 222-9577 and ask them -

You will never know till you ask.
MB is known to supply parts for their vehicles for decades... even if you have to special order them from Germany.
But that come with the price. Last time I ask for seat skin pricing at local dealer, they had only available set for both fronts at $2600.
That was few years ago, so calculate inflation adjustment.
Than if you have just limited repair - boat shops deal with those all the time.
Lastly few years ago I used upholsetry shop in this locationin Glendora and they did good job for good price on my motorhome.
