Stering Lock Change on 1998 w210 E200

Can anyone advise on how to change a steering lock on 1998 W210 E200? And has anyone changed EIS, Steering Lock plus Engine ECU simultaneously??

Vin Number WDB2100352A753309 I was told that if ECU, EIS and Steering Lock are all replaced simultaneously with keys for replaced EIS all will be OK as well.

That is one option, and if you go that way all three components must be from the came car(VIN) and year or the car will never be authorized to start!----Is that the case here??

What is the real and complete story here??

Keys could not move nor start the car and steering is locked. Only had one key so I am stuck. Spoke to a few persons here who recommended changing all three items simultaneously as to get the MB dealer her to do it is over 500US$.

Located ECU, EIS, and Steering Lock plus two keys from same vehicle at a cost of 200US$. I am told that the steering lock has to be broken off the car. Wanted to know if that is the case or is there an easy way to remove it?

In the USA replacment key costs 250 bucks, well so what , in your case your VIN indicates an E200 engine 111.942 with auto tranny---you must make sure that the replacement stuff came\comes form the same type of car if not the 500 bucks at the dealer will be cheap??

Ask the seller to provide the VIN from where the replacement stuff is from and I will check compatibility!!
