Stuck power passenger seat

Hello. new to the forum. hope everyone had a happy new year. i have a '05 E500 and my passenger side power seat works slides back only on the side closer to door. it does not move back or forward on the other side, which causes the seat to twist a little and not able to move fully. when i put seat back the head rest moves up with it also. all other functions work. any suggestions??

Happy New Year!

It sounds like a foreign object may be causing your problem. I would try raising the seat and taking a look at the seat tracks.

E500
i checked the tracks and nothing in there.. however. i did see a tube with a long rod sticking out that was not in any position which is probably the problem. it seems the coated wiring from the tube is somewhat stuck in the track also. any help fixing this would be very helpful. probably have to pull seat up on that side to get wiring out of the track..
