Broken Springs, Replace with OEM or Better?

So I seem to have 2 broken springs on my 2006 CDI, RWD, no sport, no airmatic, 116k miles. I really like the OEM ride but I'm a bit concerned that 2 of the springs are broken. I had one spring go on my 1998 E class but that was at over 200k miles. Is there a slightly stronger spring that I could get and still maintain the OEM ride?

assume the front spring is what broke? Same happened to me on my 2005 CDI. I replaced with stock OE springs. Just sold at 225k miles no additional spring issues.

MB spring will come with 12 months warranty.
What warranty other brands offer?
With all those Mercedes I maintain for the family for almost 20 years, I haven't broken spring yet. I know it does happen occasionally, but even MB does have glitches with suppliers coming with different quality, they usually step to the table and fix their mistakes.

I don't think you have too many options. Try FCPEuro. Everything they sell has a lifetime warranty. It's either OEM or Bilstein there.

They guy from FCPEuro is pretty active and friendly on all the forums, but this is typical American scheme, where new company will gain customers offering good warranty, but couple years later, when claims start to flow in, they quit answering the phones.
We do have at least 3 MB dealers doing internet pricing, so plenty of choices and MB warranty is valid at any MB dealer.

Must be a Massachusetts thing? Living here in the west, we literally NEVER see that.
Been servicing MBZ since 1992 and never an issue with any OEM springs. Cant go wrong with OEM's when it comes to replacement.

Cheers

We have a lot of salt on the roads from the winter snow and things tend to rust more. I've seen other manufacturer have springs that snap, they usually do that only in the cold states where they use a lot of salt.

As for FCPEuro, whether they're around in a few years or not doesn't really matter as no one else seems to be offering a lifetime warranty and the price is about the same.

The price wasn't the same when I was checking pricing for bigger order.
Even with the coupon they offer here couple months ago, FCP prices were higher than dealer's selling on the net.

I just bought springs from FCP for my CDI, the only place that was cheaper was Europarts and the brand was their own brand. However if you to to there eBay page it lists the brand as Hudson. Went with Lesjofors everyone said it was OEM.

Also the only reason I am changing the springs is because I am changing the front shocks, might as well get it all at once.
