welcome to the forum......
I think it's been touched on here before......"worth" I guess is what it's worth to you?....not really the right mod for a car such as E350, but hey, that's just me.....
I can understand the desire for a throatier, beefier sound though..........
always enjoy hearing my amg exhaust system in action......ups and downs.....
but I do rely on my 550 for the stealthier feeling...nice and quiet....couldn't see that one with loud
pipes on the back......but a couple of guys around here have them I think.....
good luck: keep it clean

Welcome to the forum. I agree with Hype, The 350 really isn't the vehicle you want to throw exhaust on. Its something that guys with 6 cylinder camaro's and mustangs do, and it sounds horrible. The car you have is a beatiful sport/luxury car that deserves some things to be just left alone. Good luck if you do go with it, but I think in the long run you will be happier that you didn't.

It all depends on your taste and the car you came from. I like the sound from my stock 350. Yes it is understated, but it has enough voice when I put my foot in to me.

I saw/heard an E350 last week that had an aftermarket exhaust. It was a bit disconcerting, like the visual disconnected from the sound. It just screamed weird.
I also saw/heard in the same area but different day a guy with that 4-door sedan Maserati that had a really LOUD exhaust, complete with popping when he decelerated. Reminded me of when I was a kid and guys would put glass packs on old beat up pickup trucks.

i have austrian sebring quad exhaust on my E200. sounds great. deep and subtle at 2500RPM and above. but the reason i had this mod is that my stock E200 came with only 1 tail pipe on the left side which looked handicapped. if exhaust sound is of great matter to u, u probably shouldn't have picked E...
panamera gts would be my first choice given the chance for me to move back to the states again. now THAT has great stock exhaust sound.

Hummer, E350 Bluetec
I heard a BMW once with Aftermarket Exhaust (I think) it sounded like an airplane. Straight 6? it was an interesting sound coming from a car. I don't know much about BMW's, and that was the first and only time i'm ever noticed a car sound like an airplane.

wheels are from BC racing. i believe there's a dealer for this brand of wheels here in the forum. i got them thru a local auto shop in china who ordered my wheels directly from taiwan (BC racing is a taiwanese company).

I had a 2009 M5 prior to buying my e550.
I went with the RPI exhaust......it was so loud and obnoxious, it was a ticket waiting to happen. So I went to some ghetto muffler shop and asked him to put glass packs on the car.
The car sounded SO good, that guys were pulling alongside me telling me that the exhaust sounded awesome.
Yeah, no performance increase.....but for an M5.....who cares, right? The car was already fast ("fast" for those days.....e60 M5 isn't fast in this day and age unless HEAVILY modded). So in situations like that (where the car is already a performance sports car)......"ghetto mods" are ok, provided that they are not "disconnecting" like that one guy who posted above mentioned.
e350 with an exhaust isn't going to "work" and it's only going to attract the wrong kind of attention:
1. from cops if they are dicks about exhausts in the area you live
2. from guys with actual performance cars who wouldn't think twice about taking a stab at you at a stoplight confrontation (with your girlfriend in your passenger seat).
I had a 70 year old guy in a new 650i (with the //m package.....NOT an M6) drive aggressively on my *** here in Orange County just because of how my car looks.

At idle, the car sounded mean. At WOT, it sounded 10x meaner.
