Newbie - Just ordered a 2015 E400 Sedan
First MBZ - looks like a nice place to start.
Went with the Steel Grey exterior over Grey/Grey Nappa leather - black ash trim. Black leather would have looked nice - just too big a change from the light interiors we are accustomed to. (the SPC Grey/Black leather didn't work either).
Ordered most options.
Researched the daylights out of this sedan purchase - replacing a G35 Infiniti (decent car - horrible road noise). Keep cars awhile - over 100k on the BMW coupe - that's next.
Thanks to all the folks here for the treasure of informative posts - helped greatly in the decision process.
Looks like a late September build date - guess I'll be tracking it.

This is sitting in front of the detailers shop. I just had a full front of Suntek paint film and then then entire car was coated with Modesta BC-05 and the wheels were also coated with Modesta!

Where did you see that?
I know ML400 is only slightly less (a couple of grand) than similarly equipped ML550 (ML400 actually has options which were not available on ML550).
However, SL400 is exactly $18K less than identically equipped SL550, hence there are not discounts on SL400 (yet). Real world transaction difference between SL400 and SL550 is actually down to about "only" $11K, as one (even though cars just hit dealers) can get a nice 6-8% discount (depending on your relations with dealer) on ordered (not in stock) SL550.

When comparing the price of the MY14 E550 to the MY15 E400 4M note that the E400 4M has a few standard features that were optional on the E550.
Did a quick on-line build for the MY14 E550 (published MSRP)
Base price $61.400
P1 Option 4,320
Lane Tracking 875
Keyless GO 650
Split Rear Seat 440
Comparable MY14 E550 $67,685
MY15 E400 4M Base $64,850
Wonder what the folding mirrors would have added last year as an option.
Note too that only the Sport models of the E400 sedan are currently listed – though specifications show details for a Luxury version (past literature has also listed the E400 Luxury option – probably upcoming).

I recently made a series of 5 round trips to Wilmington NC and back. I can say - without a doubt, that NC drivers are at least as bad as Va drivers.
Truth be told, the number of real "drivers" in the US is tragically small. Poor drivers know no state boundaries.

AZ – hands down the worst drivers …and that is all I have to say about that!

Beautiful car ....
Was bouncing back-and-forth between Palladium Silver and Steel Grey - looked at examples in various lighting. Either color choice works for me - but the Steel Grey has the stronger draw.
Concerned a bit here about the exterior view with the Steel Grey and lighter grey leather interior - the dash/rear deck and interior pillar contrast is a bit awkward compared to the black interior (optimum). Grey/Black leather solved most of this but was still too dark for us.
Proper tinting on the rear and side windows will certainly improve the exterior look with the light interior.
Your detailer looks to have made the car shine - very nice.
Should have the E400 by the end of November - first of December. Will see ...
