New Paint
I had to try black( 2011- 11/14/2014) which was ok but tough to keep clean and swirl free. So to shut the ole lady up and save some $,I dropped off my 2010 Blk E 350 and picked up the one in the pic.More horses, metallic paint, and 3.5 yrs covered warranty,no mileage limit. And already the haters are cutting me off and stuff. What a world.

Car looks great. Don't worry about the idiots that are jealous. Just smile at them at tell them to have a nice day. That really pisses them off.

Stemags: I'll be curious to see how much better the fuel economy is on the '12 compared to the '10. Should be noticeable.

nice looking, love the grill and ornament.
Black sucks, My new ML550 is the last black car I'll ever own. I rinse the stupid thing off 3x a week.
I bought the car CPO and had it shipped, while the clearcoat is free of rash and pits, it's obvious that the previous owner drove it through a car wash regularly.
it looks very good now(after a light polish), but in the summer I'll definitely use a more aggressive cutting polish on it.
My wife's iridium grey looks good all the time.

That was part of my spec when I was looking for a new car -- no black, no white. Either way they seem to show dirt the most. I swear they start to get dirty just sitting in the garage. I know some people really enjoy washing and polishing their cars. I'm not one of them.

Color & Haters
My first Benz was Palladium Silver. That color is one of the best if not the very best hiding dirt on the car. My current car is Steel Gray, which is a lot darker and shows dirt way easier but not as bad as Black or White.
What comes to the haters a lot of them don't know what the badge E550 in the back of my car mean...but many have learned...

My C300 was Palladium and I really liked it for its dirt hiding ability (better than my C55 Brilliant Silver). I was going to order the E350 in Iridium, since a good friend of mine has a '14 E350 in Palladium and I like Iridium also. However, I couldn't pass on the Palladium that came along so he'll have to get used to the fact that we'll be twins ...and I'm happy with the choice.

I like the car just fine so far although I've only put a few hundred miles on it. I always second guess myself at around the 2-week mark of ownership. Should I have gotten rid of my '13 X3 which was decent and had more utility? Should I have gotten this option or that or omitted some other? However, I do like the sedan ride a little better.
It's funny how I was against the run flats that BMW committed to before many other manufacturers. I was happy to be able to get the E350 with traditional tires. Now it seems like MB is diving into the run flats and I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before it moves across all classes and more manufacturers use them. I'm thinking that regular tires might go the way of the dinosaur and someday these might be harder to get in various sizes and at a higher price compared to what might become more plentiful run flats. There are certainly benefits to run flats (safety, convenience, etc), but the higher price for worse ride quality always left me feeling a bit negative. At least I have the donut spare, so if I want to switch to run flats later, I have the best of both worlds. The problem with run flats is that they don't run if you damage it badly.
The only other issue I have is with my mobile phone (Droid RAZR MAXX HD). It works so far, making/receiving calls, downloading phonebook, etc. However, my previous ride could receive text messages on screen, whereas the E350 refuses. I called MB because I was curious why my phone was on the compatibility list for 2013 (I think) but not 2015. He explained that they had problems with it in recent testing and it wasn't just text problems but overall connectivity issues (something to do with Comand s/w updates since then). I haven't see those other issues yet but I haven't used it much, so only time will tell. I might consider switching phones in the next several months when my contract is up. I asked what phones seem to work well and he said iPhone, Blackberry (neither of which I will be using), or the Samsung Galaxy line, which I might consider.
All in all, in the short time I've owned it, I'm enjoying it.
