Disappointed to see this on a Mercedes forum. The constant wheel sales are bad enough but I am beginning to rethink why I even spend time here any longer.
I would agree that you need to leave this forum.
If you are "disappointed" to read someone's opinion that is not 100% aligned with yours then this is not the place for you!

anyways...all i wanted to find out is how the W212 community reacts to a "star on the grille". imho, it doesnt look bad at all. I may or may not do it but hey, its a cheap and easy mod to reverse if need to so no harm there.
like I said before, coming from the W211 side, it is frowned upon and again, imho, it doesnt go with the flow and shape of the W211 unlike with the W212.
everybody has their own take on everything. sometimes its not the way we like it but thats just how it is. doesnt necessarily mean its wrong when people disagree with you. thanks for all the input guys! really do appreciate it.

This car you have looks good both ways. I like the star grille and did change to that with hood badge with my 2011 E350 that also was Palladium Silver color. I also changed back to the original grille and to the star again. Change is very easy to do so you can change it as you wish when you first purchase the parts.
When I traded the E350 for my current 2010 E550 I kept the star grille and installed it on the new wheels. This was "absolutely necessary" as this car has the Distronic and the grille that the car comes with is just plain UGLY! The big star is a lot better for this one.
It is also good to notice that MB itself started making the sports model E-glass with the star grille and I would not be surprised if they did it after noticing so many car owners changed the grille to the star model.
Below picture of what I now have. If you get one I recommend to get the one with the Distronic backing plate as shown in my picture. I think it looks better that the "mesh" background star but this is just my opinion.
I would have this star model even if I did not have Distronic.

Does anyone have pictures of black car with black grill and black star and black grill with chrome star? Also matte black vs gloss black. Cannot decide between these.
