Chance concave 19x9.5 Et42 wheel up front rubs caliper?

I was looking at a set of concave wheels, 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 front/rear for my 2011 E350 4matic sport but after seeing 255/35/19 will fit up front I though I could go 9.5in wheels up front now and get a deeper concave depth up front (the 8.5s are pretty flush). I know concave wheels are a problem with big brake kits, but does anyone have any insight to whether this could be a problem for me without being able to test fit the wheels? I know the 19x9.5 is already pushing it up front, but an offset of 42 seems reasonable.

Thanks

It actually does fit. Inboard part of the wheel is very close to the strut (1mm or 2mm room, not more), but does fit without any rubbing, and has plenty of clearance on my '14 E550's huge front brakes. So you'll have no issues with E350. However, front wheel with tire will poke by over 1/4" so a round shoulder tire is preferred. The biggest problem is wet and generally any dirty road - because of the poke upfront, car's sides will get dirtier than normal.

Thanks for the info. Do you know any tire brand recommendations for rounded shoulder?

I used General G-Max AS-03 for this purpose. Excellent all around tire (especially in the wet) at its price point, while being one of the lightest tires regardless of price (as light in this size as PSS, DW and Pzero).

Do you know if the 19x9.5 255/35s et43 will be close to flush on the rear or am I better off going 285/30? Should I consider 245s all around to negate the fronts sticking out? I'm just not crazy about stretching the time that much.

The wheel is flush but not with 255/35 tire since tire will be stretched. With 285/30 tire, it will.

No you should not - it won't help much to elevate pocking issue.

I would use 8.5" front with 255 or 245 (your choice) and 9.5" rear with 285.

Bummer I really wanted to go 9.5 up front. Maybe I can look into fender rolling and throw a spacer on the rears with the 255s.

8.5" e30 will poke upfront about as much as 9.5" e42 are (rear will be close to flush, however). For proper square setup (8.5" or 9") to be flush, front should have offset about 10mm higher than rear.

You do not need to roll fenders - clearance is not an issue - poke is (which rolling fenders won't help). You need E63's wider by over 10mm flared front fenders.

However, I did use front 9.5" et42 (wheels are et45 so added 3mm spacer) and rear 9.5" et35 (et45 wheels + 10mm spacers) all with 255/35 tires. It did not look that bad, especially the rear. The main issue is dirtier car due to poke.

I got Forgestar F14 deep concave up front and super deep concave in the rears (which are FOR SALE) on my E550.

My specs are:
19x10 +38
19x11 +38

They sit flush with my fenders, didn't need to roll or pull my fenders, and they clear my brakes without spacers...

Those exhaust tips are interesting too, Chris... not to thread jack or anything, but where did you get those? Or are those OEM painted black?
