Extended Warranty (C Class)
Has any one purchased extended warranty for the new C. I was quoted $3999 for 7 years/ 100K miles total but look like they are willing to go for $3500 for the C400. I am planning to keep the car for about 8-10 years.

The only time I opted for extended warranties was on my two Corvettes and, even then, all service work was done under warranty and I never used the extended warranties.
It is an insurance policy, so the odds are that you won't be saving any money in the long run. Still, you have until the end of the 4 year warranty to make up your mind.

Wow, that price they quoted you is insane. I chose to go with the extended warranty because I usually own my cars for about 6 years or so. However, I went with Erin Mahre from Mercedes of Santa Rosa to make my purchase. I would highly recommend her. There are different plans she can give you quotes for. I paid over half of what your C300 quote was for a 7 yr/75k plan.
Give her a call and see if the price fits your bill. Her office line is (707)521-3996. Here's where I found her info:

I know that I can buy the extended warranty at the end of our original 4yrs/50K . I know I need it and just want to get a feel for how much it will be.
@Silver, yours sound good but it only go up to 75K. I may give her a call and see.
@StanNH, I plan to keep the car for about 10 years and this being my first MB, I am pretty sure the repair cost will be sky high. And don't even start me on the 2014 Porsche Cayman S where my dealer want $400 for an oil change. I am waiting until the end of 4 year to get the extended warranty on that.

skullboy,
I'm not sure this comment is helpful, but I bought a 7/75 extended limited warranty from Dan Boone of Mercedes of Austin (Texas) shortly before the 4/50 on my 2010 C300 expired last year. Price was $2100. Multiple dealers in Chicago where I live quoted me $3700 and wouldn't budge. Dan was very helpful, his contact numbers are somewhere else on this forum. I'm sure he would know what alternatives are available, if any, for a more extensive warranty.

You can contact Dan Boone 512-220-0940 MB of Austin. He is a hard person to reach though so keep calling.
The cost of the extended warranty will go up a little each year. So if you wait till your original warranty is almost expired, you'll likely pay more for the extended warranty than if you got it now. Also there is a fee if you buy it more than 30 days after taking delivery of the car. (I think it's a couple hundred more if you wait more than 30 days after delivery).
I got a 7/75 on a 2011 C300 for $2000 and 7/75 ok a 2013 E350 for $2100 from Dan Boone. Both were more than 30 days after delivery. Dan said it would've been a few hundred less if I had contacted him sooner.

Mercedes 2015 C300 4MATIC
Recently purchased a 2015 C300 4MATIC and in the market for the MB extended warranty (7/100K). Haven't seen posts here in a few weeks. Wondering what kind of offers people were getting for it? If not allowed to post please PM me. I've gotten a few offers also which I can share if you PM me. Looks like sticker price is $3500 from what I hear. Of note, you should not be charged tax on extended warranty it seems. Thanks!
UPDATE: the lowest price I was able to get was $2700 for 7/100K for the c class.

If you want 6yr/100K, the lowest I got was $1850 with Marc Rose.
If you want 7yr/75K, the lowest I found is Jason Kleebaugh of Anaheim MB (714-777-7532) at $1700.
Jason Kleebaugh also had the lowest price on 6yr/75K at $1400.
All prices listed above are for the genuine Mercedes-Benz Extended Limited Warranty product.
If anyone has a lower price for any of above please post real soon as I need to make a decision before my 30 days are up (2/2/15)! I'm torn between the two 100K warranties although the 6yr/75K is enticing at just $1400.

Finally bought my MB ELW today for my 2015 C300 (with 2 days to spare). My wife and I share 3 cars so none of the cars get a ton of miles yearly. That's why I went with the 7 year/75K mile warranty. Here is the best news, I paid $1600 for it. That is $100 over dealer cost. The transaction was done in minutes over the phone. All they needed is your VIN and a credit card.
So, if you want the best deal out there, and I did my research, contact Marc Rose at W.I. Simonson Mercedes-Benz in Santa Monica, California. He will sell you whichever genuine MB ELW you want for $100 over his cost. His phone number is 310-829-4511 Ext 206. BTW, he did not ask for my endorsement. I just thought some of you might want to know.
Here is the pricing (cars with in service date within 30 days of purchase):
7yr/100K = $2600
7yr/75K = $1600
6yr/100K = $1850
6yr/75K = $1300
There is a 15% surcharge after 30 days.
All warranties are 100% refundable any time prior to the expiration of the 4yr/50K new car warranty. This is what convinced me to go with my purchase. If you sell the car after the new car factory warranty is up, you can either receive a pro-rated refund or transfer the warranty to the new owner.

I don't think all C-class warranties are the same. I'm not sure, but I feel it may be a function of the equipment the car comes with (or based off original MSRP).
For my 2012 C350 I called all the usual people and my best quote was from Erin Marhe @ $3010 for the 7yr/100k mile. Looking back at previous posts I see people have gotten them slightly cheaper from my same vendors, but most of them had C250s or C300s. This is what makes me think the C350 may cost a little more.

All C-Class warranties are the same. Unless it's an AMG of course.
Remember from all the users posting past prices, prices changed from MB in September of last year, pretty much everything went up.

Great experience working with Marc Rose at WI Simonson. Got the MB extended warranty and prepaid maintenance over the phone. Marc knows what he's doing and worked quickly to make the process streamlined. Offered the best price I could find on both. Couldn't have asked for better service.

Marc Rose is very professional in his dealings as well as prompt in all of his correspondence regarding an extended warranty for my C400. The process
is quite easy after determining which combination of years and mileage you decide on. My local dealer's demeanor was not as exemplar as Marcs which is why I chose to work with him on the West Coast. I too would agree with the prior posters and would recommend you give him a call in your decision making.

2013 ML350
Another happy customer dealing with Marc Rose at WI Simonson in Santa Monica. I purchased the 2 year extended warranty from him at $2570 for a 2013 ML350 i just picked up this weekend, $1000 less than the quote I received from the dealer I purchased the car.
Give him a call, process takes less than 5 minutes, just have your VIN number ready and a credit/debit card to pay. It's easier to reach him directly on his cell phone, the number is 818-266-4305.

Best deal
I just got the 7/75 extended warranty for my new 2015 C300 from Marc Rose. everything was done over the phone. all I needed was a VIN and credit card #. very professional service and quick. simple process and I was done in few minutes. Marc is a very knowledgeable person and provided the best service and price. I paid a little over what my local dealer wanted to charge me. if you are thinking about getting an extended warranty or a service plan, do not waste time and call Marc Rose, the finance manager at W.I. Simonson MB. his Cell # is 818-266-4305.

ELW and prepaid maintenance
Hi guys, I'm a new 2015 C300 owner and new to buying Mercedes. The finance guy went to fast and I finalized late evening..my fault lol. I bought the MB factory for 75k miles for $2,795 and Prepaid maintenance 4yr/40k T1. Are these good or bad deals? If so, I may cancel one or both if I can get better deals elsewhere, etc. I'm conflicted some are saying good deal for similar price, others are getting significant amount lower lol..
