Cool New G owner , springs question

Hello everyone , ,

I finally bought a G55 after years of waiting for the right time . I got a 2010 with 53k miles on it which is lower than average . designo interior and exterior . converted to latest facelift 463 edition.

i totally love everything about the car except the bumpy drive . I went through some articles about comfort ride that suggest replacing suspension with g500/550

I Will go for the swap but I need to double check which parts should i replace ? if anyone have parts number ? I appreciate that.

Also please let me know what do you think about my car exterior? I need it to look exactly like the 463 edition so if im missing any details your opinion is appreciated

Looks like a pretty accurate upgrade to a 463 G63 look with the exception of the after market wheels. There is a big difference in ride quality with the 463's so I would strongly recommend the suspension upgrade. It s pretty straight forward but pricey. Also, if you are concerned about ride quality look into your wheel and tire combination. These can also effect ride quality. My 463 has optional 19" AMG wheels that are larger than stock but don't seem to negatively impact ride quality. Good luck...enjoy the ride.

Thank you for your comment , Can you please post a pic of the wheels you have? What I understood is my aftermarket wheels are different than stock . By size? Or by how it look like? Honestly I can't figure out the difference.

hi there, nice purchase. the only thing that needs to be done is to take off the Kompressor badge and put on Bi turbo.

BTW, i have some G500 shocks and springs from 2005 if you are interested.

I'll let you know in a few weeks after I've installed the Bilstein Comfort shocks with my stock 2008 G55 springs. I installed the stock G550 springs on my 2003 G55 with Bilstein Medium duty shocks so I will have at least a point of comparison. One thing is for sure, the stock G550/G500 springs are at least 1-1.5" taller than the G55 springs
