Adding twin turbos to the (2012 gl450) x164

I own the 2012 GL450, and was wondering if I can add a turbocharger into it, because I'm sure the 2012 GL's don't come with turbos. Im just looking to get really fast accelerations on it.

Who should I go to to add one, and what turbo should I buy.
i live near Portland, OR.

I'm new to car modding, so please tell me as much information as possible.

If there is a better solution than intalling turbos to get fast acceleration, then please tell me.

I want the turbo to be in the low end
If I can fit/install 2 turbos, then that would be better.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks, Harinder G

Turbos are bad at the low end.

They certainly weren't in my CL. It was a monster and had around 800 lb/ft of torque at 2,000 rpm.

Ok, not bad but better at higher RPMs.

Either get the ECU tuned by one of the various tuning companies (use Google) or trade it for a GL550 to get the power you want in a X164. I had one and there isn't much you can do with it. Plus, to compensate for the power, you would need to upgrade the brakes, suspension, etc.

Trade it in on a 2013 450 or 550.

You've got to test drive a Mercedes with the M278 (4.6L Biturbo). The torque is immediate from any speed or a standstill. If you want to drive it like a diesel and let it do all of its accelerating at a lower RPM, you can. If you want to floor it and use HP to accelerate, you can do that too. Or, you can initially accelerate with torque and then rapidly press the accelerator down for a seamless transition from one type of power to the other.

Yes, but adding turbos to a non-turbo engine will never get to the level of integration and refinement required for efficient operation at the bottom of the RPM range.

I agree. The unrefined power delivery you would get wouldn't justify the cost.
