Need help with RES aux video
I'd like to play video from an iPod, iPhone or iPad through the rear screens and have audio over the car speakers. Ideally I'd like to do this from an iPod using a media interface cable in the armrest and controlled from command or on the iPod itself.
So far I have tried this using the lightning cable and found only audio from a movie (but not video) will play. Can I do this with the older 30 pin cable?
I've also tried using the aux inputs and a 30 pin to composite cable. This plays video but the sound is only coming through on the headphones.

Using composite auxiliary inputs I have tried selecting both "rear audio" and "aux". The sound continues through the headphones but I can't get anything over the speakers
I bought a 30 pin media interphase cable and by selecting the videos under audio>Media interface. Then search>videos>movies it will play the video but no audio from the speakers or headphones is available
This is for s 3015 gl350 if it helps

I don't think any of the 30 pin iPods had Bluetooth. At least mine doesn't. Maybe the last version but it's hard to find since it's not made anymore. The Lightning versions have Bluetooth but they play audio already - just not video

This seemed to be a factory installation issue. I had to go back to the service center and had it fixed so that the audio can also be played through the car's loudspeakers.
