Also what did you guys use to contain the brake dust and prevent it from getting all over the seats/trunk? Silly question to some, but I've never changed my tires to winter in any of my previous vehicles until now....
Usually they should give you plastic bags, which they have the 20s in.... What I did was take a sheet, roll down my back seats, and put the 19's in on my order car... If I can put 4 19's in a G35 coupe, I'm sure I can find the space in the GLK...

For saturday, try to get there first thing in the morning... The place becomes really busy.. Try to setup an appointment if you can.. If you have any issues PM me...

Well thanks to BabyG I am scheduled to have my tires put on this am. I will be getting the Barbus knock offs, they just look a lot like my 20" rims that I have now. Will try to take pictures if the garage allows. Cant wait to see how the 17" feels.

I am taking along my 4 Michelin Tire Bags, hope they can hold my 20".

Pez, could you confirm that you can move the front bar just on top the B piller? (thats is between of the 2 roof windows in my car). Thanks.

Yep it can go right above the B Pillar, almost at its maximum like the rear rack. I'm just in the process of doing my Ski rack since I took them off again, soon they will be on for good!

Folks, MB52 are gone... For everyone who ordered you have them confirmed. All new orders will only have the choice of the new rim.

Leslie, how did things go?

Winter Wonderland Ready

It was a great experience

My GPS had me get off on Dixie Rd and it was the next light and one left turn and I was there. The have a typical unit front entrance. Nice display of some rims. Have to say some of those BMW rims were eye candy. After checking in the confirmed my order and asked if I was taking them or wanted them put on. I had them installed and asked them to use my tire bags which actually were able to hold those 20".

The staff is friendly and the shop got busy as my turn came to get the tires put on. I got there for 11:30 and was back on the road at 12:15.

If you have 20" make sure you make room for them if you are getting the snows mounted. They take up all of the back seat and trunk so get that cover outta the way before.

The Rims look awesome and the Bridgestones look like winter tires

The ride is about the same at speeds below 115. Seems to get a bit noisy above that to my ears. Does not feel lower and the speed seems correct. The ride is a bit softer if that makes any sense, I went over some usual speed bumps and I think that there was a difference.

The shop is very clean and they can only do one car at a time so book your appointment. I told him that I will post a few pics and he told me that he did not think BabyG could come through with customers but so far its been worth his time.

From the way they deal with their other customers, you get the feeling that they know tires and the makes of cars that fit best.

Overall a good experience and I would certainly recommend this route if you want tires on good rims that look great at an awesome price.

the pics I attached are of the rim display in the store and my new wheels.

Now this looks like a proper SUV. I like these rims a lot. Why couldn't they be standard and 20's optional?

Didn't read the whole post but are those replicas? If so, who makes them?

Cool, I saw some pics of you trying different rims, which ones did you go with (double spoke or the ones in the pic above?)

I may have forgotton to say on here, Thanks BabyG for arranging and do all the leg work for my tires and rims.
We chatted a few times as I had a few questions and BabyG was patient and got the order in for me and everything went smoothly and I am a happy camper especially in the now cooler and wet roads.
The GLK handles exactly the same when it comes to how the car handles but the breaks are much more grippy due to the tires but I got wheel spin on the leaf covered roads but thats just the fact that the GLK has lots of low end torque me thinks.
So the board owns a round of thanks to memebers like BabyG who go beyond the posting of comments and threads on here, he definately takes it that additonal step. THANKS

Jim, did you even read what this thread was about, before you just posted a sales link????.. The majority of us wanted decent wheels locally, something which we could see and like first hand before going ahead with the purchase... 113 you are refering to is US dollars, without any taxes, shipping, duty etc. .... ..
