Schatz Tuning Anyone?
Anyone have any experience with this company? They offer a couple of items for the GLK which I like. The carbon fibre mirror covers with puddle lights & their style of chrome trim for the door handles are tempting me. Shipping is going to be high but that means I will drink more box wine for the next month instead of vin plonk in the bottle.

I've ordered from them once before two years ago. They don't seem to offer it now but I bought a pair of chrome trim for the front bumper. The shipping was half the cost of the trim, but I didn't mind, that trim was only sold by them but very nicely done. The curvature match the lines just fine.

Cost of shipping is now a part of every day life. Much rather have a nice piece made in Germany than some third world company. Unfortunate that the company does not have a supplier on this side of the pond. Besides, a good friend of mine is a pilot for one of the major cargo companies so it helps to keep him employed perhaps.

I got a pair of plastic ones from China on ebay for $31.00, shipping included, and they fit perfectly and look great!

I've bought stuff for my E550 from them - good quality. Don't forget that the prices include a 19% VAT that, living in Tucson, you do not pay.

Thank you for the positive feedback on the company. Any purchase in the USA does not have to pay VAT or am I mistaken?

Yes - They should not charge you Value Added Tax (VAT) for items shipped to a US address. it only applies to items shipped within the EU. However, you may need to pay an import duty (but I have never been charged for it.) With the Euro down to $1.30 it is a good time to buy from vendors in the EU.
