2017 GLS
Anyone else waiting on MB to release prices and get going on our builds? Late March seems like a pipe dream.

Well... the "most" of what is not yet released is the Base Model MSRP - and based on previous releases that might float up a hair-to-4% or so...
If you want delivery - with the features you value most - nothing to be "gained" by holding back, really..
GLC's and GLE's - frankly now weeks/months after release - on average nationwide - relatively "tight" - and when dealer inventory on the ground is "tight" - doesn't help the odds of stumbling over what you want....

I would suggest you call your dealer - get the factory PO# for your rig - and print out to confirm the options you ordered have been accepted for that order by the factory.
At this moment - 1st/2nd decade March factory orders are locked down - "some" end-March production orders are changeable - then production orders have been allocated to each dealer for production April thru 2nd decade May.

The P21 package is characterized as "Air Ionization" only in some MB literature. Does it include the fragrance part too?

As for people waiting on price, go into a dealer and negotiate a discount relative to msrp. It's not hard to estimate what the car will cost, with options, plus or minus 4%

P21 Air Balance Package - Includes: Cabin-air purification system with ionizer and dual activated-charcoal filters; Fragrance atomizer with LED-backlit vial in glovebox
Info came from a different model but I believe it is the same.

Dealer call me and toll me Diamond White is not available for now... witch I don't understand why not so I chose a polar white witch I like it too, also I add
293 Rear Side air bags
872 Heated Rear Seats with climate control panel
401 Ventilated front seats

I believe I will not miss the GL550 with all this goodies... the only thing is I am not sure about the pano roof, this is my 4th GL and no pano on any of the previous ones, I am a little concern about the summer time witch is very hot where I live, I still have a few days to make this change... any advise?

About two weeks ago my dealer also said Diamond White was unavailable but he was able to order it two days ago for our GLS550 to be built 1st decade in April.

Nothing yet. Mine is a no-deposit order that I can walk away from if I'm not happy with the final numbers. Like my dealer said, they would be glad to have this GLS build on their lot if I don't want it. Inventory will be very tight for several months so order now if you want a new GLS, otherwise you be waiting a while.

But i will say that there is absolutely no reason to be paying msrp anywhere in this country for this vehicle, particularly if you plan to finance or lease through MB Financial.

I'm not one of those dudes that says you should get x% off because that discount is based on where you are geographically....

What % off are you getting and from what dealer? In particular, are you ordering a GLS350? In our area being first or towards the front for a GLS350 has a price premium currently. In 6 months? A discount but not a huge amount at least not enough for me to wait on ordering. One aspect that I've seen is that GL's with 3.0 liter engines are easier to move due to competition with Chinese gray market exports.
I'm not financing or leasing through MB financial. More than likely Axxlrod has done his due diligence and called around in the SD/ soCal area and may have found difficulty getting a discount currently. Just wanted to give some insight to him and possibly others about the SD market. But, hey, if people are getting more than 2% off on orders all over the place, I'd like to know as well.
