MBrace Remote Start
I posted this in another forum thread,

Please let me know if any of you had a chance to play with the MBrace Remote Start feature yet. This has been my experience;
The Mbrace remote start has been inconsistent. I called MB a few times. I was told a couple of things, wait 24 to 48 hrs (more than once), delete the app and reinstall, I cannot be connected via my home wifi etc. etc. I tried unlocking and locking via MBrace then tried to remote start and it worked. The GLS started each time when executing this sequence, while connected to my home wifi.
My 2010 E-Class had Midcity's keyfob remote start install by the MB dealer and it worked flawlessly. Now that MBrace remote start is available I wonder if MB would support it?

i would say something that's a little confusing to me is the keyless go. when i walk up to the car and touch the inside of the handle, it doesnt always unlock. almost never in fact. seems to not recognize the key FOB more often than not.
maybe just needs a new battery

I can lock and unlock the doors but remote start is not yet working. The account was activate yesterday afternoon at the dealership so maybe I need another 24 hours. Odd that some parts work and some do not.

The third attempt did not work. I received this message, 'Your Mercedes-Benz vehicle has been started remotely twice. Please start the vehicle using the key.' So, there's a limit on remote restarts.

Remote Start is working today so it must take up to 48 hours for it to be enabled. Very cool and 4 years of mbrace is now included with your purchase. Smart move on Mercedes-Benz part.

Consistently working? There are many posts about this feature not working well. Also, it shuts off if you attempt to enter the vehicle and are limited to two consecutive restarts.

I did't try opening the door after remote starting it. It may simply be a safety feature. I removed started it twice and my wife started it once from her iPhone.

Most systems let you enter the vehicle without it shutting off.
I had remote start installed by MB on my E-Class from this company, http://www.midcityengineering.com/
Once started with the MidCityEngineering remote start, if I entered the car and touched the brake, gas or turned the steering wheel the car would shut off. Inserting the key in the ignition and turning it to the start position allowed me to drive. Also it was built into the keyfob (panic button) and started immediately, no delays as with the MBrace remote start.
Oh well, it is what it is.
