How Do You Install the Partition Net?
I finally received my ML350 Bluetec last Saturday (which I ordered on December 1st from a dealer in Orlando although I live outside of Atlanta - some deals are worth driving for) and with 60 miles on the odometer on my way back home, the check engine light came on.
It turns out that a bracket holding one of the vacuum actuated EGR valves was bent and a local (Atlanta) dealer was able to remedy pretty quick.
The dealer in Orlando wanted to make up for the inconvenience of having to go to a service department on the first weekday I owned it by sending me a partition net which he new I wanted (but was too cheap to pay $300 for).
The net arrived today in what appeared to be unopened factory packaging, with no instructions.
It looks like it should be easy to install, but for the life of me I can't get the upper supports to the proper angle to be able to get them into the anchor points. One is easy, as long as the net assembly is "pointed" towards the front of the car but there doesn't seem to be a way to get the second side aligned.
Any ideas?
On a separate note, everyone that's seen the "brown satin ash" wood trim thinks it's the most unique wood trim they've ever seen! I agree, it's awesome!

Partition Net
I'm beginning to think that the dealer may have sent me a partition net for a different model (or model year ML).
Can anyone provide the MB part number for the partition net for a 2012 ML350?

As it turns out, my dealer provided me with a cargo net for an earlier version (W164?) of the vehicle. It was provided "a gratis" because of some SNAFUs by the dealer so instead of returning it I found that I could reshape (bend) the upper supports so that they would fit into the W166. I haven't tried removing it since, but I'm sure it's not going to be easy!
