ML 250 BlueTec
Hi Everyone, I have been enjoying reading your posts for the last couple of months. I have finally placed an order for a 250BT(I would have loved the 350BT but need to stay within a tight budget).
The 250's in Australia are reasonably well optioned and for me, this is my only entry point to the fabulous M - Class! My car is black exterior and interior and I expect delivery in June 2013. An extra bonus for us in Australia is that from January 2013 orders Collision Prevention Assist and 360 Camera are now standard across the range including 250BT !
I am currently driving an Audi so this will be my first Mercedes.
Well the wait begins!!!

Is this true? That all 2013 onwards ML250 have 360 degree camera as standard in Australia??? We have had a change of plans and are now looking at used ML's. The 360 camera is a must have.

Interesting. My dealer has 3 showing up in inventory, but I realize that is not necessarily linked to what is on the lot. I emailed my sales guy to find out the deal earlier this morning.
I am itching to drive and order if I like it, so I am watching it like a hawk (in fact was planning on cruising the lot when I go to lunch as I am 1/2 mile away).

I wonder if they are making some tweaks to the 2.1 motor/configuration for 2015 since none of the vehicles that use it (ML, E, GLK) show on the EPA fuel economy page yet. The only 2015 diesel showing is the GL350 Bluetec.

I just came back from Helsinki Finland, where I met a fellow 2013 350BT owner who stated he gets 61 miles to the gallon (US). He stated, yes the 350BT runs much leaner than North American BT's, but they don't meet European pollution guidelines, which is why the BT is going to 250BT. I think the change is to serve the European market.
I forgot to mention that the price of Diesel in Finland is 7.34 US$ per US gallon, or 1.93 US$ per liter.
I was also in Russia, where the ML is quite popular, far more popular than the BMW or Audi., but then I also saw a Tesla there as well. Outside of Russian built vehicles (including Russian built Chevrolet's), the most popular cars & SUV's are MB's.
