Anyone Interested 360 Camera in Motion..
I'm possibly having a canbus plug-in module built that can simply be plugged in under the Dash.
This module can / will do the following:
1. Allow you to activate the 360 Cameras while driving.
2. If vehicle slows down below 4 MPH, activate the 360 View.
3.Or, if the vehicle slows down below 4MPH, activate just the front bumper Camera.
The vendor will do some testing with me. If anyone has any suggestions / comments, please let me know.
I have the Software Video in Motion and love it. It works flawless. Because the cameras are on a totally different controller, it requires another device.
I have the sport package on the car, having the front camera auto turn on when parking, especially when you are just rolling into a spot and the camera system is not active would be helpful.
I welcome any and all feedback.

Go for it. If its plug-n-play, people will likely be interested, if tech work is involved less so.
The benefits are not that great.
The current BMW 7 series actually has a great feature that activates the cameras based on a GPS location. You set the location where the cameras go live. As soon as you approach the area (which you set) they come on. Perfect for a tight spot or garage, steep incline, etc.

I'm interested. I would be most interested in activating the 360 camera at low speeds for easier parking, although admittedly it pretty easy to just push the cam button.

It is extremely easy to cause damage to the nose skirt, especially with cement curb's head in parking or cement lane parking pillars. I'm not so worried on my own, but the convenience is a great option. It can be set that just the front camera turns on.

I would be interested. I don't understand why it doesnt come when parktronic sensors beep. It seems like that should be an option in the system. I have a tight space in the garage and ive made a habit of pushing the button.

Excellent idea. The other one i wish we had is on my Honda Odyssey i sold (gave) to my daughter... right turn signal (or buttonpush at end of signal arm) turns on a rearview camera looking at the blindspot area...you can drive with it on

Dont all S Class versions have the hydraulic front end lift? Is this only an option with Magic Body Control optioned versions?
I always just hit that button before I start to park, then I don't have to worry about scraping the front end ( sports package as well ).

Having the camera is the best option as you can also see bumpers / objects in front of the car.

Actually it raises the entire car. However it does take some time to raise the vehicle, and you are back to again having to hit a button, you might as well just his the 360 Cam button.

I think you should count your Mississippi's...... Tested it today, it actually rises in 2 stages.... Rear rises a bit, then the Front, then the Rear again followed by the Front. Approximately 20 to 30 seconds...

Edit: went down to my car after reading this and my Mississippi count was right on! Super fast. Yes, you are correct, rear rises first, then front...but about 2-4 seconds. Not sure where the 20-30 seconds comes from. Mine works super duper fast.

Is your vehicle a 2015 with Magic Body Control?

I cant believe it is 1 Second per rise.... Rear (1), Front (1), Rear (1) Front (1). It would be like watching the video in fast motion. Must be some fancy compressor / relays on the 2015's.

Lol, no MBC, it is definitely at least 20 sec. on my car. Early 2014 S550 4Matic, no MBC on any the 4-Matic's.

My last car was a 2013 base 911, so no lift kit. I have nothing to gauge it against. But it's very fast.

Not sure what's going on there, but it works really fast. I have read on other forums that people who have gone from non MBC cars to cars with it see a dramatic difference in how quickly the hydraulics work.

Hmmm... Next service visit, I'll have it checked, unless someone else chimes in... it is no way 4 to 5 seconds on my puppy...

Waiting to hear back from vendor. It is the same principal as video in motion. The software / programming will be modified to control the system. I will post once I hear back.... Dropped off my radar....

Only in reverse. The vendor I spoke to would have been able to have the cameras turn on automatically below speeds of 4 MPH. I asked him if he would be able to add the following sensor to the car, he said t should not be a problem.
So the cameras will only automatically come on when it senses a curb or object.
http://www.brandmotion.com/curb-alert-4.html
http://www.motorweek.org/features/go...tronic_add_ons
So basically this will trigger the 360 cameras automatically. He also said that he could set the mode you want the camera(s) in. 360 or just the front bumper on the display which would be cool..

Found the Information... Took a bit of digging...
Email Reply from Vendor.
Hello,
Glad to hear the VIM is working! We always appreciate feedback.
We do have a piece that will either activate the factory 360 cam under 4 MPH and/or activate using a curb alert system. The piece is programmable to your desire. It comes with a negative trigger for the curb alert. You can also program the piece to activate the 360 camera when shifting from any gear into drive (rather than just from reverse). The part number is 360CAM222 and costs $308 plus shipping. If you'd like the curb alert as well, we can include that for an additional $150.
Unfortunately, we don't yet have anything for remote start for the W222. You can subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of any page on the website and you will receive any and all product announcements.

The DIY ability of this product is determined by your comfort level with disassembly and wiring in a Mercedes. While the CAN portion is plug and play using OEM plugs, you will need to hook the interface and plate frame to constant power. In addition, you will need to mount the sensor in the front and run the wire to the dash cavity. The installation is very easy for a professional, but not suggested for a novice. For an end-user that has experience with these types of projects, it is easily done.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions.
