Anyone Interested 360 Camera in Motion..
This module can / will do the following:
1. Allow you to activate the 360 Cameras while driving.
2. If vehicle slows down below 4 MPH, activate the 360 View.
3.Or, if the vehicle slows down below 4MPH, activate just the front bumper Camera.
The vendor will do some testing with me. If anyone has any suggestions / comments, please let me know.
I have the Software Video in Motion and love it. It works flawless. Because the cameras are on a totally different controller, it requires another device.
I have the sport package on the car, having the front camera auto turn on when parking, especially when you are just rolling into a spot and the camera system is not active would be helpful.
I welcome any and all feedback.

The benefits are not that great.
The current BMW 7 series actually has a great feature that activates the cameras based on a GPS location. You set the location where the cameras go live. As soon as you approach the area (which you set) they come on. Perfect for a tight spot or garage, steep incline, etc.
It is extremely easy to cause damage to the nose skirt, especially with cement curb's head in parking or cement lane parking pillars. I'm not so worried on my own, but the convenience is a great option. It can be set that just the front camera turns on.

I always just hit that button before I start to park, then I don't have to worry about scraping the front end ( sports package as well ).
Having the camera is the best option as you can also see bumpers / objects in front of the car.

Edit: went down to my car after reading this and my Mississippi count was right on! Super fast. Yes, you are correct, rear rises first, then front...but about 2-4 seconds. Not sure where the 20-30 seconds comes from. Mine works super duper fast.

I cant believe it is 1 Second per rise.... Rear (1), Front (1), Rear (1) Front (1). It would be like watching the video in fast motion. Must be some fancy compressor / relays on the 2015's.

My last car was a 2013 base 911, so no lift kit. I have nothing to gauge it against. But it's very fast.

Hmmm... Next service visit, I'll have it checked, unless someone else chimes in... it is no way 4 to 5 seconds on my puppy...

So the cameras will only automatically come on when it senses a curb or object.

So basically this will trigger the 360 cameras automatically. He also said that he could set the mode you want the camera(s) in. 360 or just the front bumper on the display which would be cool..
Hello,
Glad to hear the VIM is working! We always appreciate feedback.
We do have a piece that will either activate the factory 360 cam under 4 MPH and/or activate using a curb alert system. The piece is programmable to your desire. It comes with a negative trigger for the curb alert. You can also program the piece to activate the 360 camera when shifting from any gear into drive (rather than just from reverse). The part number is 360CAM222 and costs $308 plus shipping. If you'd like the curb alert as well, we can include that for an additional $150.
Unfortunately, we don't yet have anything for remote start for the W222. You can subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of any page on the website and you will receive any and all product announcements.

The DIY ability of this product is determined by your comfort level with disassembly and wiring in a Mercedes. While the CAN portion is plug and play using OEM plugs, you will need to hook the interface and plate frame to constant power. In addition, you will need to mount the sensor in the front and run the wire to the dash cavity. The installation is very easy for a professional, but not suggested for a novice. For an end-user that has experience with these types of projects, it is easily done.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions.
