Issue returning third row seat to original position

Hi everyone. I just purchased a 2008 R350 and after folding the third row I can't seem to get it back to the original position again. There is about a 1-2 inch gap between the seat cushion and the backrest. Before it was flush.

Anyone else run in to this?

Thanks!

That does not look normal.

Although I am not 100% sure, I seem to remember having an issue folding or refolding the seats when I was at the dealership to check it out. I was doing it from the hatch area. It may be an adjustable something or if i remember correctly I just redid it and it corrected.

In my case I had not let the seat spring out or stopped it from doing something and then had an issue. I just put it back and tried again and it worked.

It may be a position of the chair's back. I recall it took me a while to realize that the third row chairs have three inclanation positions.

Now that I recall, that was correct. I had adjusted the seat back and then when I redid it. the chair was reset and fit back as suppose to.

Thanks for responses. I tried adjusting the seat back and I still have the big gap in all three seat positions. I also folded them down and back up a couple of times hoping something would click in to place but no luck.

Oh well.

At the dealer. They say it's normal.

I have checked my third row, it is the same as yours. Looks normal.
